Bottle. Unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, pine needles, light malty, toasted, cinnamon, herbs !. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Flavor and aroma is very special. (020907)

Bottled. An unclear orange beer with a huge fluffy orange head. The aroma is quite strong with strong notes of citrus, medium notes of yeast and oranges, and lighter notes of wheat. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of oranges and lemon - which gives it an acidic edge, that makes it very refreshing, towards the end a spicy touch comes along with notes of cloves and nutmeg. The body is a bit thin especially considering the 7.5% ABV.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Plovmand. Pours a hazy golden with a huge, frothy white head. Yeasty, gingery nose. Medium body, sweet fruit, ginger and a whiff of yeast. Warming alcohol in the finish. 280710

ZBF2008: From tap. Pours hazy yellow with a dense and huge white head. Solid ginger and clove spiced aroma. Flavour holds the same solid spice notes to a mild caramel malt base and a mild sweetness. Ends rather herbal. Well crafted, but too spiced for my liking.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, mediumsized creamy/bubbly white head. Aroma is coniferous woods along with juniper and some other spices. Flavour is spicy, caramelly and slightly sweet wooden. Really pleasant thing.

Draught at ZBF 2008. Hazy golden coloured with a small white head. Light acidic and perfumed aroma of fruits, spices and brett. Light acidic flavour of fruits, brett and spices. Tart finish.

ZBF08. Bready, spicy aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Small but stable and creamy white head.

Golden color, with the most classic and beautiful of the creamy Belgian heads. The aroma is peculiar, with some herbs (rosemary) to join the malt and coriander. Medium body structure, malt taste, softer than expected, and quite refreshing for a Belgian ale; very light herbs here as well and very light lemon peel. Consistent final. A solid blond strong Belgian ale, with a touch of originality.

(33cl bottle, BB 12/2010) Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast, mustiness, florals, grass, light butterscotch, and toasted grain. Flavor of yeast, grass, butterscotch, and earthiness.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy blonde color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty spicy aroma. Fruity spicy flavor with some hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty spicy finish.
