(Bottled) Very hazy reddish amber with a tight, medium head. Smoothly malty and spicy-herby aroma. Sweetish, strangely but pleasantly herby flavor with very smooth maltiness. Medium to full-bodied, silky-smooth palate. A very pleasant, extremely balanced and totally enjoyable brew.

Bottle from Belgian Shop. Pours cloudy orange with a big creamy snow white head. Aroma of belgian yeast and citrussy hops, some cellar. Taste is moderate sweet malty with a herbal light bitter finish. Nothingspecial, just ok.

33cl bottle @ home. Slightly unclear orange-golden color, average sized white head. Smell malts, herbs, spices (ginger, rosemary, cinnamon?) and sweetness. Taste malts, sweetness, slightly bitter, light to medium herbs and spices. Definitely not my thing.

Amber colored pour. Small white head, fades fast, no lacing. Smells spicy, like heather and malt. Tastes the same. Sweet, but dry. Not to bad for a spiced beer.

Grima (1573) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - DEC 22, 2011
The beer is amber colored with fine-pored head. It smells malty, cinnamon, sweet and yeasty, slightly resinous wood. Starts with lots of cinnamon, caramel, sweet and yeasty fermented in background, with some aroma hops. The middle part shows a lot of cinnamon, caramel and sweet malty nuances with yeast. Goes into a yeasty-sweet finish with lots of cinnamon and pine wood flavors!

330 ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden body with a disappearing off-white head. Aroma has caramel, candy sugar, spices and soap. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, candy sugar, candy and a hint of soap. Medium body. Drinkable but a bit too much on the sweet side.

Draft @ 9th Rencontre des Brasseries du Luxembourg Belge. Holy smoke, how did I ever not try this one before?
