Föroya Bjór Black Sheep premium dark lager is an excellent beer with a great taste, brewed by Föroya Bjór, a Faroese family owned brewery founded in 1888. The Black Sheep from Föroya Bjór is a beer of th very best quality. The islanders may have a fishy economy but the Faroese beer is second to none. The brewery has always had a ram in its logo.

Crystal clear medium amber body with a small, off-white head of average life-time. Malty and moderate aroma of pale malts, grain, caramel and light hops. Moderate flavour that follows the aroma, with additional fruits. Light to moderate sweet and light bitter taste. Fairly light-bodied, dry and with a moderate carbonation. This beer is almost as boring as this rating.

Bardzo ładna głęboka bursztynowa barwa i nie aż taka ciemna jak mogłaby sugerować etykieta. Piany praktycznie w ogóle. Aromat i smak typowo lagerowe, ale dosyć przyjemne w smaku.

From draft at Hvonn Brasserie in Torshavn. Clear dull amber body with a thin white head. Unpleasant buttery diacetyl and toffee malt aroma with notes of calcium and granite. Medium-light body with some chewy malt sugars, lightly bitter and acidic with a quick finish. Simple and dull and faulty.

Kolor - jasnobrązowy, klarowny. Piana - drobna, wysoka, średniotrwała. Zapach - niewyczuwalny. Smak - lekko słodowy z bardzo delikatną nutą chlebowo-karmelową, lekki chmiel, leciutko słodkie, średnia goryczka. Delikatne, nijakie w smaku piwo.

Bottle @ home: Aroma: A bit sour fruits, grain. Apperance: Pours dark orange/amber, quick small light head. Taste: Grains, quite carbonated, some lingering bitter finish. Overall: Just a tiny bit more interesting than plain pilsner - but fine for food.

33cl bottle from Maruhn, shared in Strasbourg. Sirupy copper pour. Cooked caramels in the nose, laden and honeylike. Very decent hop bitters welded into cardboard malts, honey, Kleister, pollen. Lingering bitterness. Weird Märzen from the Faroe Islands. There are much worse country ticks and a worldwide flock of black sheep beers, it appears...
