Faroese: Classic er ein frísk, aromatisk bjór viđ góđum humlusmakki. Classic er bryggjađ viđ myrkum malti, iđ gevur ein eyđkendan malt- og karamelsmakk.

English: Föroya Bjór Classic is darker and tastes more of malt than Vedraöl. The flavour is balanced with a good taste of hops. The beer goes well with food, especially powerful meat courses and spicy food from the Far East.

Bottle. 4.6%. Best before 26.01.13. Pours a clear, dull golden with an off-white head. Decent lacing. Sweetish, fruity, cereal aroma with a hint of hops. Notes of grass as it warms. Flavour is malt and cereals with remote metallic and cardboard overtones, the latter increasing as it warms. Light grainy note. Finish is a bit grainy, dryish and has a mild hop bitterness. Overall mediocre. 16.11.12.

Amber but dull. Mix of caramel and industrial brewing. Taste is clean and fairly neutral, accented by light caramel.

Amber in the glass, nose is a bit malty. The beer starts medium-aromatic. Nice bitter, but slightly watery. The mainpart is slightly sweet, a bit grainy. Crisp. In the aftertaste bitter, slightly sweet-malty, a bit grainy and smooth-watery.
--> A nice session-beer, but nothing really special. Ok!

courtesy of Philipp and Thomas - clear amber-bronze beer with a poor foam left; aroma of plastic and cider; fizzy and lightly sweet; some corny tartness and more notes of plastic in the finish - very modest to stay polite

330 ml bottle. PM. BB 12/12/2013. From bierzwerg.de.
This is the beer I had quite a few of in Café Natúr when we had couple of hours to spend in Tórshavn on the way to Iceland some years ago. Clear copper colour with small off-white head. Not very dark for a Dark Lager. Malt and sweetness in a simple aroma. The flavour is dryish with some grainy malt and mild bitterness. Not very impressive.

330 ml can kindly provided by Gro. Inch thick tan colored dense head on a deep golden clear body. Yeasty nose at first then more wooden florar and herbal. Sweet and cloying with a somewhat balancing papery bitterness. Medium body.

Bottle. Dark golden, small and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, light caramel. Body is light to medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel. Finish is short, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel and light sharp metal, faint hoppyness. Sweetish vienna with notes of metal - really nothing special here.
