Draught at Kobenhavnske Oldage, May 2006. Mid brown colour. Plenty of caramel malt and some nutty touches. Maybe just a hint of licorice. Painfully thin for a stout. This beer works better if you try not to think of it as a stout. More like a Brown Ale, or even a Dunkel, really. Not unpleasant but not very exciting.

#1392 bottle (kulturkøbmanden); nose is sweet licorice, green pepper bitter, heavy earth, sour leaves, little sweet malt, weak late chalk and a rye whiff, feel is watery, carb is medium, taste is stale cola, iron, leaves, some rubber, cooked vegetables, plastic, late weak malt

Some light brown head, lasting, quite dark. Nose with brown sugar, cinnamon, rosated caramel. Nice! Semifull body, and medium length. Sweetness, brown sugar and caramel, none of that nice roasted tone. Very fine and light stout.

Dull brown colour with a small head. Malty aroma. strange caramel sweet flavor.

Bottle courtesy of yespr, thank you sir! Very black, small but thick brown head with moderate retention, good lacing. Aroma of dark milk chocolate. Taste is like an Italian espresso soda. Not bad for a 6% beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Dark brown with an off-white head of medium size. However, rapidly declining. Aroma of sweet toasted malt and caramel. The taste is sweetish roasted malt with notes of brown sugar. Easy drinkable stout that’s more in the direction of Schwarz Bier.

Bottle @ Home. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of raosted malt, licorice and dark fruit. Taste is hard roasted malt, coffee, licorice. Rather thin body for the style, soft carbonation. A little thin tasting and light bodied, but decent. 110811

Medium beige head. Just barely translucent deep dark red. Grainy
earthy malty aroma with buttery caramelly dusty notes. Sweet-dryish
earthy coffeeish soy sauce taste with grainy notes. Fullish body.
Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish earthy licorice and earth
aftertaste with coffee and sugar notes. Nice. Quite subtle, and full
of flavour. (0.33l bottle, Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

Dunkeles Bier mit bräunlicher Schaumkrone. Entschlossen malzig im Geruch, dabei auch leicht röstig. Malziger Oberton mit Einflüssen von Bitterschokolade. Sehr gehaltvoll.
Nicht übel dieses Bier mit dem unaussprechlichen Namen. Sollte ich mal auf den Faröer Inseln verweilen, werde ichs wieder trinken.Test vom 23.3.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Schokoladig-malziger Antrunk mit unverkennbarem bitteren Beiton. Die Würzigkeit scheint sich stark zurückzuhalten, um die Malzigkeit im Vordergrund zu halten. Diese ist auch im Mittelteil führend, ein herber Ton löst die Bitterkeit weitgehend ab. Trotzdem ist der Nachgeschmack deutlich zartbitter und röstmalzig. Ein durchaus leckeres Bier.
