Tap at the brewpub. Very slightly hazy golden to orange body, high white head. Aroma of low intensity, but pleasant: honey, fermented malts, alcohol. Taste is surprisingly bitter, lighty sweet. Apples, sour grains, cerealas, alcohol, hints of honey. Medium body and carbonation.
Tasty one.

Vom Fass. Schöne Bernsteinfarbe, klar. Heller cremiger Schaum. Kräftiges Karamell Aroma. Etwas Hopfen und Malz. Der Geschmack ist sehr rund. Malz, Karamell, etwas Trockenobst. Angenehm reduzierte Süsse. Als Doppelbock sehr gelungen.

Hazy orange color with tan head. Aroma is honey, fruits, some malts. Taste is similar. Not too sweet Doppelbock, well-balanced, not too strong. Very good!

Taster at the breweryschank in the Market. Hazy dark gold with a fine, low head. Fruity, rich malt aroma, honey, peaches, oranges, biscuits, pineapple, lightly tropical in character. Sweet and fruity but with a solid body and good carbonation. Tangy, lightly hoppy, quite drinkable and nice. Would label this a heller bock, though.

Draught Sampler @Marktschänke, MÜ 2015/3 as Gottfried Jakobs Blanker Bock, 7,6%. Almond glue on white bread nose. Taste open on soapy proteins, bocky pale malt sweetness and honey kept very well in check by a balanced mouthfeel. Good herbal bitterness mixing in floweryness amongst the marzipan glue-dense malts, giving off some schnaps or Obstler. Good, but glad I could have less than a Halbe.

At the brauerei. Hazy golden to orange in color, vigorous carbonation bubbles on display, nice white to off white colored head. Aroma of sweet bread and grains and caramel and light fruits. Flavor followed and was a bit too sweet to present an underlying lager quality behind it all. Quite nice though and hard to believe it was 7+% abv. Mouthfeel full but not sticky, which if it was in conjunction with the sweetness, might have turned to a poor experience. Strong carbonation helped keep this pretty drinkable.
