Mi aspettavo molto di piu’ dalle recensioni prese, non e’ certo una cattiva birra e si presenta pure bene, ma per me non arriva alla sufficenza.

Good head, a slightly metallic nose and taste. Not a big taste explosion on the tongue, but could be due to drinking cold. Good nut brown color. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2012 12 oz bottle pours a deep mahogany color with a creamy head. Aroma of sweet roasted malt and molasses with a hint of caramel. Taste of molasses on the tongue, with deep roasted malt flavor.

Tap as Forst Rossa at a pizzeria in Firenze. Pours ruddy amber with a small creamy beige head that laces. Aroma of oak? Med body. Flavor is lightly grapey ande fairly woody. Finishes on the bitter side. Very good beer. So. Did I get beer that was a bit infected? Or is there another Forst beer that is widely distributed that pours copper/amber? I had a very good beer.

the appearance is correct for the stile, almost neutral aroma....the problem is the taste: this doppelbock is too sweet....caramel is dominant and i have to fight to finish my one....

A nice medium brown brew. The malty taste is uninspiring. Overall, not a bad brew.

BREWMUSKCLES (1619) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 3, 2011
sugary with toffee and full with malt this dark brew with lighter highlights and an accompanying two toned head dark with white highlights. Earthy with introduction of hops that provide balanced bitterness and fade slowly thru the finish. dark and roasty and just a bit acrid. thick enough palate to encourage that finish.
