Bottle from Auchan supermarket, Bussolengo, Italy. A dark brown beer that has a bubbly white head. It has a very strong malt flavour, chocolate, rich red fruity and cherry notes followed by oak and vanilla on the warming burnt toffee finish.

Tasted 15/4/15 at Cantina Dello Zio Bramante, Manarola, Italy. BB 06.06.15. Poured a dark coppery amber with a one-finger light tan foamy head that retained well and laced OK. Carbonation high and fine. Aroma dominated by sweet malt plus a hint of sweet fruit; no obvious hops. Taste very malty and sweet with a hint of roasting and a hint of dark fruits; no real bitterness. Light to medium body. Smooth, clean, very sweet and with a syrupy mouth-feel. A lingering long sweetness on the finish. Nice.

deep reddish-brown color; sweet, caramel malt aroma; sweet, caramel malt flavor up front with nutty, mild dark fruit notes; semi bitter, bready finish; very well balanced and quite smooth; this is not quite a doppelbock, but it is a very enjoyable beer

Draft in Cortina D’Ampezzo. Clear brown color with small frothy off-white head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of caramel, light roasted malt, dried fruits and grassy hops. Taste starts with sweet caramel and nutty, follows by mild fruity acidity and bready with mild bitter finish. Medium body, syrupy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Pretty nice surprise from Forst...

Lambister (341) - FINLAND - JAN 20, 2015
Bottle @ west coast of Italy. Darkish brown color with a thin light brown head. Nose is pretty sweet with a nutty character. While flavors are malty and roasted, it has notes of nuts. Bit too much bite at the middle cuts the finish and the flavors too quickly, otherwise decent brew.

zenkis (686) - Ogre, LATVIA - JAN 4, 2015
Pours coppery, intense reddish with beige-yellowish finger wide frothy top, light to medium lasing. Aroma- first was unpleasant boiled vegetables, a bit toasted malts although almost no malty, some licorice, a bit sour- messy. Taste is sweet, malty flavor, a bit nutty, minimal bitter, pleasant but short. Moderate to full body, light dry finish, toasted-roasted like aftertaste. Except aroma- enjoyable brew.
