Glasempfehlung: Langstieliges Sektglas.

Note: Initially 8.5%.

0,75l bottle shared with some friends. BB 09/2019. yellow hazy color, medium white head. smells of parfume, corn, spices, honey, peppery, weird smell. full body, very bubbly carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes fruity, belgian yeasty, parfume, flowery, nutty, marzipan. finishes rather bubbly with notes of alcohol, fruits and spices. decent enough but quite bubbly and also alcoholic, okish, not the biggest fan.

Bottle from a trade with Werckmeister, many thanks. Pale golden color with big white head. Aroma is malty, sweet and tart fruits. Taste is big candied sugar and honey booze, slightly tart, typical Belgian Strong character. Carbonation is lower than expected, good. Maybe a little bit too boozy.

Drunk in a snifter at BrauKunstLive! 2013 Festival. I tried their Brew Secco, and 8.5% Starkbier that they say was modeled after a Belguim style and fermented with Champagne yeast (Proseco is a popular, cheap northern Italian Champagne.) I loved it. Boy did it ever have foam! After they poured the glass, I waited 3 or 4 minutes while talking to the staff in the stand and a man came up and said, "You got the Brew Secco, only champagne yeast make foam that strong." I finally had to slurp through the foam to get to the beer, tickling my nose in the process. The taste was dry, champagne-like brut, but beery too, for it was thick and malty to match a really lemony flavor. A WOW beer.

75cl bottle. Pour is orangey gold with a massive white head that fades to a thick film. Nose is spicy, funky, winey, with banana and orange peel. Taste is sweet-ish with notes of Belgian ester, light fruit and some sugar. Finish is strangely earthy & funky. Really interesting little beer.

Bottle (vintage 2008): Light winey aroma with fruity notes of white wine, grapes, citrus peel. Also some malty notes and some sweetness. Huge foamy head, hazy golden color. Flavor is quite sourish, winey, notes of grapes. Also some candy notes and a pleasant hop bitterness. Realy a beer champagne!
