Geiserich (2337) - Vienna, - JUN 22, 2009
Draught at Falstaff-Bierfestival: Some notes of a fruity wheat, oranges, cloves and pepper. Pale yellow color, creamy head. Flavor is complex with orange notes, pepper, alcohol an dsome flowers. Dry, light sharp finish. Astringent end. Easy drinkable bock, well done.

ogivlado (4444) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 22, 2009
Bottled(330ml). -Nice murky orange coloured, minimal white head, fruity bubblegum nose with touch of wheat. Sweet malty, fruity and refreshing with mild notes of hamp. Spicy, cloves are dominant here and the alcohol is well hidden. Pleasant beer.

Bottle (Jahrgang 2009) that ogivlado brought from the brewpub and shared with me (huge thanks!). The ingredients lists confirms what the lactic nose riddled with bubblegum and honey suggested, this murky pale apricot coloured beer with a small white head that went away fast is an ale. Wrong category I guess but I have no idea where to put it. Anyway, the first impression was definitely interesting and not bad, nothing surprising from this great brewer. The taste is, completely different from the nose. Very bitter with a distinct and overwhelming cloves flavor dominating the taste staying until the aftertaste. No alcohol can be felt and there’s a fine sweetish maltiness underneath all that (and some beets that I didn’t like but that’s noticable only if you concentrate). Dryish, strange and definitely worth trying even if it’s not the best beer around.
