COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle for breakfast in a Bratislava hotel. ABV of 6.6%. Pours a slightly foggy brown with a sturdy, creamy tan head. Strong toasted dark bread aroma, some burnt sugars, earth and light grass. Flavor is somewhat odd. There is a slight tanginess here, some dry toast, light sugar, grass, tree bark. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Hints of beef. Still touches of tang in the finish, and a somewhat faded malt character. I’m guessing this beer isn’t in top condition.

Brun lätt grumlig öl med inte lite skum. Doft av malt och något udda lätt funkigt. Samma går igenom i smaken. Lite lätt sött och surt, åt körsbärshållet.

Bottle from Bier Imperium, Vienna. Shared with folks at cgarvieuk’s tasting. Dark brown, thick creamy head. Rye, roast malt, some sort of wet fur nose. Hint of smoke perhaps. Odd. Similar flavours, some dark chocolate. Long, oily finish. Interesting but weird.

Thank Dan for sharing this. In bottle, pours a dark red colour with a fair light tan head. Aroma of rye bread, black pepper, caramel, treacle and chocolate. Similar flavours. Mild carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Quite nice.
