1900 is a nod to the very things that got us where we are today- crisp, clean microbrews all from the belly of a little brewery tucked away in the outskirts of Old Town. The result is a superbly refreshing, bright and delicately balanced amber lager.

Deep orange amber colored brew with a thick khaki head. The nose is fairly rich with grain and some caramel. There is also some sweet potatoes. Earthy tones and tobacco come through. The taste is bitter bread crust and a little bit of grass. It finishes with some grapefruit rinds and a note of raw potato. This is very tasty stuff, a nice hoppy lighter lager style.

12 oz bottle: Aroma is caramel, slightly grainy, lightly malty, and some grassy hop poking of from the background. Appearance is a light amber (more close to golden) with a thick white head that lingers. Taste is malt forward with caramel notes finishing with a nice grassy hop characteristic. Overall, It’s a decent amber. Cheers!

Pours a clear amber with a finger of white head. Aroma is very fruity, reminiscent of raspberries and honey with a bit of earthy hay. Taste more fruity flavor with again some of the sweet honey notes with some grains. The beer does taste slightly watered down either due to lack of flavor or lack of carbonation. All in all not bad but nothing to really write home about either.

Bottle. Pours a clear orangish amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grain and musty bread with not much else. Flavor has earthy musty grains with a bit of backing sweetness.

Bottled. Medium golden with a fizzy, bright-white head. Light, vanilla and malted milk aroma with some sweet straw underneath. Light-to-moderately sweet flavor with light copper metallics and melted plastic under straw and wheaty grasses. Finish is tangy straw and wheat bread. Overall, pretty non-offensive and easy drinking.
