The Bamburg Bomb is brewed with 100% Smoked Malt. Beechwood was used to give an intensely aromatic smoke that lingers in the air like ribs on the 4th of July. Oak gives it a smooth and rich flavor, blending with melt sweetness reminiscent of honey glazed ham. Hearty in flavor while lighter in body it is easy to overindulge on this brother to the BBQ.

GABF week 2012. On tap at the brewery. Pours with a clear, straw yellow hued body with a small white head. Very very smokey aroma, strong, woody, leathery, ham, honey and bready. Flavors are very smokey with almost a mineral character, ham, bready, malty, and maple. Fuller carbonation, malty sweet flavors but a dry finish.

Tap @ Fort Collins Brewery. Pours a fairly clear golden appearance with a white head. Burnt smoky, charcoal grill, a bit meaty, light caramel aroma. Burnt woody, chewy char, light caramel flavor. Not bad but not very inspiring either.

Tap. Pours clear dark gold with a medium, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is ham, smoked and light ash malt with light earthy hops and a clean lager character. Flavor is light smoke, sweet cracker malt, light fruit notes and a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Tap at brewery. Clear blonde gold with not much of a lasting head. Aroma is heavy with beechwood smoked malts, oak, and light bacon. Taste has a lot of rauchbier malts (smokey bacon) with some pleasant blonde malt action, very low bitterness, and an oaked cereal grain tone. Pleasant.
