COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Chocolate malt and roasted barley provide the dark color and fully body of chocolate stout. Toasy accents and a hoppy dryness add to this smooth brew. An old time favorite you’ll remember.

Nicely done. I do not know what the ABV is, not that it tastes strong, but it has some underlying flavors that are reminiscent of an Imperial stout. A little bit of a sweet, vinious character with a silky smooth body seperate it from the pack of American stouts.

Bottle. This was a little too much for my taste. Too sweet, too unbalanced, too far off the path

I thought this chocolate stout was awesome. Lots of chocolate throughout. Not much roastedness or side flavors. Really good, pretty strong flavor.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours crystal clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1-2 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, light smoke/char, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Nice aromas with good complexity and balance of dark/roasted/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, light smoke/char, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Fair amount of herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, light smoke/char, and roasted earthiness for a good bit. Good complexity and robustness of dark/roasted/bready malts and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a good roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy, and lightly bready/chalky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good American stout style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle. A- Malty, roasty, dry, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, light brown head. T- Malty, roasty, bakers chocolate, dry. P- Medium body, thin texture, high carbonation, dry roasty finish. O- Really not that great of a beer. At first it smelled like blood, which I am not sure where that came from. After the head faded away, that odd aroma went out the door and dry roasty cocoa came in. The palate was about the same. Simply a boring stout, really.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is chocolate and roast. Medium mouth with flavors matching nose, cracker, toast, light dryness, good.

Pours black with a head that would look more appropriate on a soda. Very little aroma, only some coffee. Taste of thin black malt and little else. Watery, I think they forgot to add the base malt.

Black with no head. Aroma is roasty and slightly smokey. Flavor is light, and slightly roasty. Very bland stout.

Find this to be very lackluster and uninspiring. Very bland chocolate flavor and rather thin for my liking. Nothing was really appealing about this for me.

Poured from a regular bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a slightly thick, watery dark brown-black color with a good-sized creamy tan head with shorter retention but good cling and lacing. Its roasty aroma featured a blend of earthy tones with malt, including caramel, toffee, and chocolate. The taste was sweet with notes of chocolate, caramel, a bit of coffee and some lighter earthy, grainy bitterness at the finis. The beer had a pretty wet and watery mouthfeel with low carbonation and was a touch and creamy.

Poured into shaker from bottle. Dark opaque brown with fair-sized tan head and some chocolate aroma. Not so much chocolate to the flavor, mainly just malt. Mildly bitter finish but not long - it’s too watery a beer to leave much of an aftertaste.
