Bottle. A pretty nice, well rounded stout. Drinkable and full flavored w/o a ton of alcohol.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 demitriustown (906) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - MAY 28, 2012
12 oz bottle: Aroma is roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee notes, and ever so lightly nutty. Appearance is black with a thick tan head that linger around for quite a while. Taste is quite nice, chocolate, roasted malts, and light coffee notes. Palate is medium to low carbonation with an aftertaste of dark chocolate. Overall, This is my first time with Fort Collins in this mix pack. It looks like some of their beers are hit or miss, but this one is a hit. Cheers!

Draft - pours dark brown with creamy tan head and some lacing. Nose is roasted chocolate and coffee. Flavor adds some hoppiness. Taste is somewhat sweet and bitter. Fairly straightforward with some hop.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Brandman (1067) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 23, 2012
Black body, light brown head. Aroma is quite sweet with coffee and chocolate. Flavour has roasted malt, much coffee, chocolate and coal. Light palate.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 rollinsr (159) - Atlanta, GEORGIA - MAY 11, 2012
Pours very dark brown with some nice frothy tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate with some toasted malts and a bit of java. Taste is more chocolate with a bit of tartness to it as well as some alcohol (I let it sit and warm up a bit). There is a kind of musty aftertaste that isn’t bad, it just seems slightly out of place. Not a bad stout but I’ve had better.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 burg326 (1107) - Florida, USA - MAY 2, 2012
Poured from a bottle, a dark brown, almost black color. Aromas of chocolate, roasted malt, and a touch of sweetness. Flavors of some milk chocolate, cocoa, and a touch of caramel/molasses. A nice sessionable stout.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 rosenbergh (3488) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 26, 2012
355 ml bottle. From Brooklyn, NY. Courtesy of Brandman.
Black colour with greyish tan head.
Roasted malt, dry liquorice and some chocolate sweetness in aroma.
Flavour is dark strong maltiness, some hoppiness, roastedness and some coffee. Not so much chocolate. Slightly disappointing. Waterish.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Onenote81 (902) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - APR 24, 2012
Originally reviewed: 8/31/10. 12oz bottle, part of a mixed sixer. Poured into a pint glass. Consumed during my Fantasy Football draft.
Pours a deep muddy black with no head whatsoever. No lace left behind, unsurprisingly. Scents of chocolate powder, fresh hops, and slight espresso. Smells inviting for sure.
The mouth is full. Carbonation level is moderate. Good feel for the style. Decently hopped beer here. I like the subtle bitterness mixed with the semi-sweet dark chocolate and cold coffee flavor. Good beer. I could have a few of these. Wasn’t expecting a whole lot, but I liked it.

Smells like a chocolate butt hole, pours dark, super smooth but not much in the way of chocolate. Especially for a chocolate stout. Pretty good overall as a standard stout.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Bricktop86 (230) - Moore, Oklahoma, USA - APR 7, 2012
Dark brown brew with a tan, fluffy head. Aromas of subtle dark coffee. Tastes of a simple mix of dark coffee/chocolate, not much else. A bit dry, and watery. Light bodied for a stout, bitter chocolate finish. This was average.
