COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A celebration of craft beans, craft brews, collaboration and innovation resulted in this rare and enticing brew. Together FCB and Jackie’s Java carefully cupped, sniffed, roasted and brewed three distinct varieties of coffee that resulted in an amber ale playfully infused with bold coffee notes.

Pours a dark brown with a creamy head. Has a nice caramel taste with roasted malts. A little on the funky side but decent overall.

Poured into a perfect pint. 4.0 A: Wow, I’m shocked at how light this is given that coffee is involved. Clear orange amber color. Two fingers of foamy beige head. Retention is good given that coffee is involved and a short ring of lacing is left. 3.5 S: Smells somewhat like a really weak cup of coffee. Big toastiness and grainy malts from the base beer. Actually, this smells like a coffee filtered full of coffee after the coffee has been brewed. It’s not a great aroma, but for some reason I like it anyway. 3.5 T: Tastes like it smells. Big toastiness and graininess. Weak used coffee filter. ’Nuff said. 4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good active carbonation. Reasonable creaminess. Light and crisp. 3.5 D: Not an impressive brew by any means, but super easy to drink and different than every other coffee beer I’ve ever had. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-09-2012 01:11:21

Pours a cloudy orange-amber with a frothy, white head that dissipates rather quickly, leaving a trace of lacing. Aroma is of instant coffee, sweet orange, and honey. Taste is predominately sweet and sour, with coffee taking the lead, followed by a mild floral hoppiness (emphasis on mild). Tastes in general are restrained, however. Mouthfeel is watery, with some light carbonation. In sum: A neat experiment, but a so-so beer. Because of the amber ale style, I might have expected the coffee to stand out more here. But it didn’t do that at all. There was just a certain tepidness to the aroma and taste that didn’t do it for me.

Pours amber with small head. Lots of coffee and chocolate and a touch of nuttyness. Brown ale sweet with a very slight coffee bitterness. Not bad, but nothing spectacular.

Pours a dark amber with just shy of a thmubs width cream head. Head leaves pretty quickly though. Aroma started off great but kinda started to wear on me towards the end.French vanilla, caramel, doughy, and a little earthiness from the coffee. Taste s definitely of a marriage between an amber ale and coffee and cream. Sweet with a little boldness from the coffee. Again initially liked it more than I did by the end of the bottle where it was starting to wear on me and I’d have definitely preferred a more black coffee (how I drink my coffee) flavor to it than a coffee and cream flavor. Medium bodied to this, silky in mouthfeel, not much carbonation. Bought this blindly, the concept of fusing amber and coffee appealed to me and had me super curious. Glad I tried it, its definitely a unique beer, and while I thought it was a decent beer on an objective level, it just didn’t align with my taste buds. I’d drink it again but wont be going out of my way to buy another.

Pour is an ice tea lookalike with no head at all. Aroma is deffinalty a rich coffee and not much else. Flavor is dirty malts with undercooked vegatables and nothing after that. Almost no coffee in the flavor. This went from ok to poor real fast. I have never seen a coofee amber ale and I don’t think an amber malt base works with coffee.

Whats the abv? big mystery i guess,im guessing 6-7%? Pale golden amber light barely frothy head with lacing. Nutty aroma slightly toasty honey almost buttery.Defenitaly hitting some wierd nutty coffee notes Its malty nutty sweet but light medium bodied with a clean taste, medium carbonation. Its like a light amber/ light brown ale with a nutty coffeeness to it. The finish is the same but slightly citrus/ bittering. Nicely drinkable.

Golden, honey color. No distinctive aroma. All I taste is honey-like sweetness with little or no coffee.
