COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Sticke is a strong Altbier with a bright , bronze body and a snappy hop bitterness. A hint of ale fruitiness and malty sweetness gives way too a clean, dry finish. Dreamt up during a week among Düsseldorfers, this concoction brings a living fossil of the beer worl to FCB.

Crushed at BSAF 10. Got some sweet molasses, syrup on the nose with some chocolate. Flavor is a little bland, but with a hoppy finish. Complex and interesting, but unfortunately not very good.

Its funny that when you search for ctrl alt del, there are almost 10 different beer results for that name. And I was thinking Ft Collins had a unique name for their altbier. Draft at Avery Strong Ale Fest 2010. Pours amber with a small white head. Nose is mildly sweet, hops, vanilla, toast. Flavor of strong malts, some metal in the finish. I just want to go to Germany.

so this is their sticke or double altbier (which is pretty much barley wine). dark copper red colored body. very neutral and plain throughout - watery toasted vienna, munich and cara-pils malt, light hop aromatics (crusty, dried leaves) and light hop bitterness (crunchy stale leaves). unimpressive.
