COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The most decadent creation ever to be crafted in FCB’s brewhouse. Deep roasty flavors, rich chocolate nose, coffee undertones and impeccable balance are the result of imperializing an already flawless brew.

I didn’t expect what I got from this bottle! Everything about this stout was very good. I seem to say this a lot...the oy improvement I could ask for is a thicker mouthfeel.

Bottle courtesy of nuplastikk, thanks! Very dark opaque brown color, beige head. Aroma has vanilla, coffee, almost bourbon. Tate is rich bourbony vanilla, dark chocolate, licorice, espresso. Very tasty.

Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, dark chocolate, rye bread, liquorice, raisins, roast, hint of vanilla, dark fruits. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a moderate roasty bittersweet finish. Body is just above medium. Good one!

12oz bottle. Opaque brown-black. Soapy beige head. Aspirin dry cocoa aroma. Rich doughy chocolate flavor. Not as rich as a typical Imperial Stout.,but a little bigger than a straightforward Stout too. Sort of tame, uninspired. Decent enough.

12 oz. bottle. Pour was thick black with minimal tan head. Aroma was roasty malts, chocolate, coffee and a little ash or ash tray. Taste was sweet and chocolaty. Left a bitter chocolate finish.

Bottle. Pours a black color with off white head. Slight roasty, nutty aromas, pretty minimal aroma for an imperial stout. Chocolate, syrup, cardboard, malty flavors. Another Below average Fort Collins brew.

Based on the ratings I was prepared to be amazed. On nitro tap at Pour House. First sip was thin with only a hint of chocolate. Second sop didn’t get any better. No body, no flavor, no sale.

Chocolate and roasted malt certainly make for a tasty beer but it doesn’t rise above with the best of the style.
