omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 9, 2008 Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Opaque black, no head. Rich milk chocolate aroma. Sweet and full bodied with clean rounded mouthfeel. Caramelly malt with notes of bees wax, tar and milk chocolate. Warming potent finish with low bitterness. Makes me think of Bailey’s... kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Apr 5, 2008 Date: 03/22/2008

CaptainCougar (4624), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 15, 2008 Pours a nearly opaque dark brown with a stringy-lacing tan head. Aroma of sweet molten dark chocolate and caramel malts with a touch of roasty coffee. Body starts fairly full and dark caramely sweert with good bittersweet chocolate balance and a drier, lingering roasty finish. A pretty drinkable and mildly complex chocolate stout. hopdog (4525), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 19, 2008 22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a larger sized off white head.. Aromas of chocolate, roast, toasted malts, yeast, and light coffee. Tastes of chocolate (more in the tastes vs. the aromas), caramel, lighter roast, and some bitter coffee in the finish. Alcohol content well hidden. Light lacing left on the glass. acrdz (4248), Pennsylvania, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle. Huge, sticky, rich chocolate malt and roast all over this, rich mocha and dry cocoa powder, hints at complexity but settles down into something more one-dimensional. Finish is moderately thick, heavy with roast and smoked malt, but there’s some bitter, astringent grains, and the chocolate is somewhat simple and pasty. Decent beer, for sure, but by the end of the glass I was looking for something else.
