COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What’s better on a warm day in the mountains (or at sea level, for that matter) than relaxing with a strong beer that drinks easy? Hoptitude has an aromatic orange rind nose courtesy of a late addition of Pacifica hops from New Zealand, a bready malt backbone, a refreshing hop flavor reminiscent of dry grapefruit, and a palate cleansing finish.

Not a bad extra pale ale from Fort Collins. Slightly citruscy with a nice malt backbone. Had a bottle pour at home. Light yellow with a white head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

PorterPounder (6042) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2015
Tallahassee, Fl - Beer Stop - 12 oz bottle. Murky dark golden, light orange pour, soft, snow white head, spots of lacing, Aroma has some distant spruce, some doughiness, Flavor is pleasant, slightly overhanded, muddled citrus bitterness, some cake mix sweetness, just a hint of ripening vegetables. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Needs a bit of work.

Bottle. Medium light bread and nutty for the malt, herbs for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with a hint of bar rag. Head is small, frothy, white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is light amber. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a soft to lively carbonation. An okay drinking beer, but not very DIPA-ish.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy deep orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, floral, grass, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, floral, grass, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/toasted earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice robustness and complexity of citrus/pine hops and balanced bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp/sticky, and lightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a really solid Imperial pale ale style. All around good balance, robustness, and complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

12oz bottle 3/19/15 (Courtesy of TerryR)-40° in Shaker-Pours a hazy orangish amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Taste of the same with more hops and some malt. This full bodied brew is well balanced and goes down easy.

Bottle. Poured hazy light copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bitter hop flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good beer that exceeded my expectations.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Slightly hazy light amber, white rim head, bars of lace. Taste is mild bready malt that adds strong citrus hops on the swallow, the malt joining again a little at the finish. It fills the bill, but doesn’t seem like a brew that deserves 7.5% abv.

Bottle@ trailer. Clear light amber color with ivory foam. Dry spicy, citrusy, dusty pale malt aromas. Medium bodied. Grainy, lightly sweet pale malt flavors with mild florals, light fruitage____drying finish----good.

Look: pours a cloudy dark yellow. Bright white head. Smell: grape fruit. Oranges. Taste: very bitter. Grape fruit. Orange. More malt flavor than most IPAs. Feel: very dry. Medium carbonation. Overall: ok beer. Not my favorite IPA. Strange bitterness. Not grapefruit. Too much malt. First drank: home 9/7/14

Clear pale yellow pour with decent white head. Citrusy lemonzesty qualitiest and a crisp refreshing bite. Defintely drinks a lot closer to 6%. Pretty decent.
