What’s better on a warm day in the mountains (or at sea level, for that matter) than relaxing with a strong beer that drinks easy? Hoptitude has an aromatic orange rind nose courtesy of a late addition of Pacifica hops from New Zealand, a bready malt backbone, a refreshing hop flavor reminiscent of dry grapefruit, and a palate cleansing finish.

Light fruity sparkling nose. Not a hoppy beer more toward pale ale style, but very light kind of bitter aftertaste. Not great but interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle. Pours a light gold with a big white head. The smell is almost primarily malt, they msut have skipped the dry hopping. Flatish mouthfeel. Boozy for the abv, grains, fruits. Medium bitterness that is just out on an island. This beer is an absolute mess.

Very cloudy, which I like. Hop blend wasn’t very bitter, but extended to aftertaste. Multi flavors.

Tasted on tap. It has a hazy golden hue with a white head and streaky lacing. Pine hop aroma with a well hopped taste.

I enjoyed this beer, but i have had much better in the imperial IPA category, its fairly easy to drink and hoppy enough but just average ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours yellow and hazy. Nose is stale malts spicy and floral hops with a weird laundry detergent aroma. Flavor is similar. Wish it would have been fresh but couldn’t find a date on the bottle.

Bottle. Cloudy gold almost no head. Pineapple and oxidized hops. Bit of butter. Medium body with zesty carbonation. A bit old but still has some bitterness with a lemony finish.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Cloudy pale amber brew with white head. Aroma of peach, apricot, citrus. Taste is bready malt at the start, fruit overtone, a citrus / spice /earth hoppiness in the finish. Dry at the very end. Very creamy mouthfeel and smooth palate. Soft carbonation. I think this is outstanding - I note that it is listed as an Imperial IPA here but the bottle notes it as an Imperial Extra Pale Ale. Maybe a category unto itself.

Draft to taster. Looks very light for a DIPA; a slightly hazy light gold with thin white lacing. The hop profile is pretty mild by DIPA (or even IPA) standards with some biscuit notes as well. Tastes like it smells with an average (at best) mouthfeel that’s pretty thin on the palate. An underwhelming example of the style.

12oz bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Filtered yellow-tan body. Caramel pine aroma. Kind of meh, unimpressive compared to some of the other beers sampled that evening. Still has a respectable hoppiness, just comes off a little old school to me. Lemom-lime finish, mellow pink grapefruit. Reminds me on an Imperial Pils somehow.
