Too sweet for me. Like a bad wheat beer with pomegranate syrup. Not my style.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving messy foamy and bubbly lacing.
The smell had a sweet to sour to tart pomegranate and a little bit of honey on the back end as it warms.
The taste was sour and sweet through the fruit and the wheat combination.
A light sweet pomegranate aftertaste leads into a wet finish.
On the palate, this one sat pretty light on the body with the wheat seeming to be lacking a bit.
Overall, I say this was a decent fruit beer. Fort Collins probably could have used a bit more wheat to make a slight heavier body, unless they were trying to make a super sessionable fruit beer. I might have again depending upon what else is served.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The brew was a crisp, light straw color with a slight haze to it. Like most flavored beers, the pomegranate was fairly light, but surprisingly pleasant. Could see myself drinking this on a very hot day, very refreshing.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy golden orange with thin dissipating head but good lacing. Berry and citrus aroma. Grapefruit flavor with the sour/bitter finish of grapefruit as well. Light bodied and watery.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pomegranate, pear, apple, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Okay aromas with decent balance of pale malt, fruit, earthy hops, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. A bit too estery in the nose. Taste of lemon, pomegranate, pear, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of fruity tartness and earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pomegranate, pear, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt, fruit, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; with a nice bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a solid fruited wheat ale. Good robusntess and balance of pale malt, fruit, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A pleasant and enjoyable offering.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle poured to a Czech-pils glass, displaying a clear, orangey gold color, with an active, off white/light tan, mousse-like head that wouldn’t quit, and clingy, bubbly & foamy patches of lacing. The nose may have offered some light wheat, but was mainly ripened fruit, with dried cherry & raisin sweetness, and a slight medicinal, cough drop scent. Even a bit of cardboard crept into the aroma with a later sniff. The taste presented a moderate bitterness, with a little lingering quality, fruit juice, and a bit of tartness that mixed well with the perky carbonation. Light to medium bodied, with subtle, malty creaminess to the mouthfeel. Okay, but not really a very fresh, fruit presentation, as it seemed generally muddled, and slightly oxidized.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. The label has a brief description of the beer but no abv %. Appearance: It has a light golden color with very good clarity and some visible carbonation. After the pour it sets up an average size just off white head. This head slowly settles to very thin film covering of foam with a nice lacey ring at the edge of the glass. Smell: The aroma has a mild malty and wheat like character with a light hint of floral hops and maybe even just a very slight touch of fruity sweetness. Taste / Palate: The flavor is a perfect copy of its aroma. This comes by way of a light feeling body with balanced carbonation. As it warms and take the last few sips I get a little more of the fruity pomegranate notes mixing with floral hop notes in the finish.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body under a small fizzy white head that faded pretty quickly. The nose has just a slight hint of tart fruitiness from the pomegranate, a light breadiness, and a little wheat. Pretty light on the fruitiness as far as the flavor goes, but I suppose that’s OK. It tastes like the majority of Wheat Ales, slightly bland and boring with pale bready malt and wheat with a minimal yeastiness. Light bodied and fizzy with a short finish. Pretty forgettable beer.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a hazy gold color with a thin, fizzy white head. A little boring looking. Aroma is malt, sweet tarts, and wheat grass. Flavor is hard to explain. The malty flavors are very muted and their is a bit of sour tartness to it. It’s not terrible, there is just not much going on. It tastes a bit watered down.
I guess I could see myself drinking this on a hot summer day or something, but, there are plenty of better summer time options out there. Probably won’t get this one again.
