UPDATED: FEB 19, 2013 12 oz bottle shared. Pours pale, golden and clear with a white head and lacing. The aroma is wheat malts and light fruitiness. Light body, clean and crisp. Flavor is breads, grains and wheat malts. Light fruits and hops and kind of dry. Average at best.

Poured into a weizen glass. 3.0 A: Lightly hazed medium orange color. A little over one fingers of frothy white head. Retention is below average and some irregular lacing is left. 3.0 S: The pomegranate is actually pretty strong in this. It overshadows the rest of the beer in the nose. It gives a sourish tanginess to it. Otherwise, some neutral wheat and not much else. 3.0 T: Tastes like pomegranate juice in a not too great wheat beer, which I guess is what it is. Pomegranate, some wheat, and maybe a hint of spice. Underwhelming. 3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lightly creamy and smooth enough. 3.0 D: Itís okay, but too many better options to buy again. ★ 689 characters DavoleBomb, Aug 06, 2013

Drank from a twelve ounce bottle. Has aroma of pomegranates. Has beautiful refreshing crisp, fruity, pomegranate taste, not overpowering. Another good brew by FCB!!

Nicely restrained pomegranate but the underlying wheat ale is nothing to write home about. Dinging an extra point for the ridiculous "most unique beer ever brewed" line in the deScription, considering this wasnít even the most unique beer I sampled that day.

Admittedly, this is probably through little fault of its own, but I didnít like Major Tomís Pomegranate Wheat all that much. It just didnít give me enough. Not enough head. (Wow, that sounds bad. Ah well, Iím going with it.) Not enough pomegranate. Not enough wheat. I enjoyed trying it for the novelty, but thatís about it.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving messy foamy and bubbly lacing. The smell had a sweet to sour to tart pomegranate and a little bit of honey on the back end as it warms. The taste was sour and sweet through the fruit and the wheat combination. A light sweet pomegranate aftertaste leads into a wet finish. On the palate, this one sat pretty light on the body with the wheat seeming to be lacking a bit. Overall, I say this was a decent fruit beer. Fort Collins probably could have used a bit more wheat to make a slight heavier body, unless they were trying to make a super sessionable fruit beer. I might have again depending upon what else is served.

The brew was a crisp, light straw color with a slight haze to it. Like most flavored beers, the pomegranate was fairly light, but surprisingly pleasant. Could see myself drinking this on a very hot day, very refreshing.

Hazy golden orange with thin dissipating head but good lacing. Berry and citrus aroma. Grapefruit flavor with the sour/bitter finish of grapefruit as well. Light bodied and watery.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pomegranate, pear, apple, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Okay aromas with decent balance of pale malt, fruit, earthy hops, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. A bit too estery in the nose. Taste of lemon, pomegranate, pear, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of fruity tartness and earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pomegranate, pear, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt, fruit, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; with a nice bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a solid fruited wheat ale. Good robusntess and balance of pale malt, fruit, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A pleasant and enjoyable offering.

12 oz. bottle poured to a Czech-pils glass, displaying a clear, orangey gold color, with an active, off white/light tan, mousse-like head that wouldnít quit, and clingy, bubbly & foamy patches of lacing. The nose may have offered some light wheat, but was mainly ripened fruit, with dried cherry & raisin sweetness, and a slight medicinal, cough drop scent. Even a bit of cardboard crept into the aroma with a later sniff. The taste presented a moderate bitterness, with a little lingering quality, fruit juice, and a bit of tartness that mixed well with the perky carbonation. Light to medium bodied, with subtle, malty creaminess to the mouthfeel. Okay, but not really a very fresh, fruit presentation, as it seemed generally muddled, and slightly oxidized.
