Good looking beer, a deep red with a tint of orange and a tall, creamy beige head. The aroma is sweet and malty, has a touch of toast, apples, and berries. The flavor is toasty and sweet, fruity with a light earthy bitterness to balance it out. Good session stuff.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Hangover (980) - Atlanta, Alabama, USA - APR 8, 2007
Nice dark red color but has a very thin, filmy head. Aroma is of wine/grape and some woodsey malts. Sugary taste, red-wine towards the finish. Finish is bitter but not harsh and has a bit of piney hop resinous. Pretty good.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - APR 7, 2007
Bottle. Pours a bronzen ruby with thin beige head. The aroma is light toast, a dark sweet note, berries, and a faint note of fudge. The taste is much more like fudge, some nutty notes, toast in the finish. Quite interesting.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Shag (2445) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - MAR 24, 2007
A very dark amber to brown color. It has a nutmeg and caramel aroma to it. The flavor reminds me more of a brown ale than an amber. Somewhat sour with nutmeg and grapes present. This is a pretty good session beer.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 decaturstevo (4157) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAR 23, 2007
A bit of a brown pour with an aroma of brown sugar and if bitter is a smell it is in this beer. A pleasant sweet beginning that changes to a bit of an odd bitter. Not a bad beer for the style but not one of my favorites. The aroma and flavor are off just a little.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 illinismitty (2270) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 19, 2007
Bottle from Frugal McDugal in Nashville, TN. Pours a clear deep mahogany red with an off white head. Malty aroma with berry like fruitiness. Initial flavor of caramel, brown sugar, and molassess cookie. Mid palate has some nuttiness and hints of purple grapes. Bitter finish is very acidic with notes of hairspray, which loses some major points with me. Starts off well and has a train wreck in the end.

Sample size: Brown red tone pour. Flavor is mildly sweet, caramel like. No complexity; a simple red ale that is neither offensive nor impressive.
