Pours red brown semi clear color with large tan head disappearing quickly. Nice lacing. Nose seems like a malt bomb, like a loaf of bread, some yeast, almost some fruit. Bread flavor, sweet. Medium to light body. OK.

12 oz bottle from BevMo Salinas. Nose is heavy on caramel with a hint of molasses, along with a flowery hop bite. Clear cherry red with a medium beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter with caramel and a bit of light sweetness.
1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 Nightsky (172) - Lutz, Florida, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Aroma smells like a stale quad, color is a red brown. Tastes a little like an IPA with a hint of citrus but not done well. Palate is flat and has an abrupt finish. I overall think this is a skunky beer.
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Onslow (923) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - MAR 5, 2012
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Clear reddish brown brew with off white head. Arome of caramel malt, spice, earth, floral hops. Taste is modestly sweet with a modest hops forward bitterness and bitter/sour finish, earhty overtones that assert near the end of the swallow. Tastes like a little rye is in it. Overal - niiiiice!
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 JMerritt (1676) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - MAR 1, 2012
Bottled, purchased as part of the "Brewer’s Lunchbox" 12 pack sampler. Pours a rusty red brown with a nice sized, frothy light tan head that is fully lasting. Loads of caramel and toffee in the aroma - very sweet and pleasant with a subtly zesty fruit undertone. Moderately sweet flavor with a mild wheaty tang and roasted nuts. Finish is lightly bitter with some rye and sourdough. I was pleasantly surprised - this was quite tasty, full bodied and accessible at the same time.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Tessic (746) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2012
This ale poured a deep red colour with a big tan coloured, soapy head. No lacing. To the nose there are scents of ripe fruit, brown sugar, beef gravy and leather. First sip was flavourful and a little sweet with tastes of tea, grass and ripe fruit. Finish is slightly bitter with the tea flavour lingering.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 glennmastrange (1886) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - FEB 16, 2012
Bottle. Moderate malt notes of roasted and nutty, light to moderate herbs and a hint of citrus for the hops, light dough for the yeast with date, brown sugar and cardboard in the background. Head is average size, frothy, orange-beige, with fair yet slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is slightly hazy yet sparkling red. Flavor starts lightly sweet and slightly acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a soft to lively carbonation and a slightly dry finish. Well rounded aromas, tasty if simple flavors, this Amber Ale is a nice representation of the style.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Malty_MacHops (555) - Eastanollee, Georgia, USA - FEB 10, 2012
I liked this. The beer has an aroma of straw and hops. The appearance is dark red with a quickly falling white head. The taste is a bready toasty malt with floral hops in the finish. The body is medium, smooth, and crisp. Great session beer for pizza, sandwiches, or burgers.
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 milewide (1201) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - FEB 9, 2012
Beautiful ruby color, with a medium white head. Enough malt for a smooth mouth feel. Sweet malt initial flavor ends with a fruity hop taste and a touch of bitterness.
