From a bottle poured a dark amber color with a good amount of head. Toasted malty flavor with a almost burnt aftertaste.

12 oz Bottle: Aroma has got a decent malt characteristic, caramel, and a bit of funky hop note as well. Appearance is amber/red with an off white head that lingers. Taste has got some decent hop notes it has some nice caramel malt in there as well. Palate is lightly dry with a lingering malt characteristic. Overall, Not too bad at all. Cheers!

Very middle-of-the road. Had some nice hos notes and spiciness, but nothing special.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rollinsr (161) - Atlanta, GEORGIA - MAY 18, 2012
Pours a clear ruby amber with minimal head. Aroma is slightly fruity (figs) with some caramel malts. Flavor is somewhat lacking compared to the aroma, high level of carbonation with a bit of malt and some yeast esters but much of the sweetness is lost.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ronaldtheriot (449) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - MAY 15, 2012
Fort Collins Red Banshee has a thick, creamy, beige head and a hazy, reddish-brown appearance, with some lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, caramel, brown bread and a little hop sting. Taste is very similar, and one gets some mild hop bitterness and even, unfortunately, some rotten flavor. Mouthfeel is slick and medium, and Fort Collins Red Banshee finishes semi-dry and relatively easy drinking. Overall, this is a pretty good beer. RJT

This one I’d put exactly average. Not good, not bad. Dark brown clear pour with minimal head. Nice nose on this with some slight caramel hints. Decent drink, but not terribly remarkable.

12oz bottle - pours amber with ample tan head. Nose is molasses. Flavor adds light hops and spiciness. Taste is sweet. Don’t like the type of sweetness.

Bottle. Light caramel malt aroma. Clear deep red amber with a small beige head. Sweet caramel malt and light grassy bitter flavor. Medium body. Overall there’s something off in the malt/hop balance... conflicting instead of working together.

Bottle. Buttery barley malt and hay aroma. Reddish amber color with small head. Sweet buttery caramel malt and lightly bitter herbal hops. Okay - diacetyls a bit too heavy though.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bigtaster (293) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 23, 2012
Pours red brown semi clear color with large tan head disappearing quickly. Nice lacing. Nose seems like a malt bomb, like a loaf of bread, some yeast, almost some fruit. Bread flavor, sweet. Medium to light body. OK.
