chronictonic (332), Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 29, 2007 on tap - philadelphia - pours a dark copper, bordering on brown. Aroma is floral hops but not overpowering. Malt flavor has hints of chocolate or roasted malts - not sure as to why - but it really distracts from the body flavor. Not sure what hops they use, but they have a mildly unpleasant hop flavor. Not a favorite at all.
00cobraR (934), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Jul 25, 2008 This looked as if it was going to be a fantastic IPA. Alas, looks can be deceiving. Pours out a darker cloudy gold color with a nice white head. aroma was hoppy with faint notes of grass and malt. Flavor was simlar. thornecb (976), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Jul 15, 2008 Pours gold into a shaker. White head with excellent retention. Sweet pine aromas. Subdued balance of malt, pine and resin with a lasting hopped caramel finish. morrdt (546), Jacksonville, Florida, USA Jul 14, 2008 12 oz. single bottle from Total Wine in Huntersville, NC. Pours a nice amber like color. Aroma is mostly hops, some grass notes, taste is hops and finish is hoppy as well, with some citrus notes. A good IPA. rader58 (23), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jul 14, 2008 Grassy aroma. Pours to brownish honey color that is slightly cloudy. Strong hops flavor. Finish is hoppy, bittery and long lasting. finish is somewhat harsh. zappafan99 (256), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Jul 7, 2008 Taste 7/8. Bottle from total Wine...must be old. No head at all. Aroma is muted hops. There is no presence. No malt flavor. Watery and bland. There is only the spice of hop. No date on bottle. But the experience of others (the ratings)make me believe its just not the same beer. I’ll try it again.
