georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA Apr 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep cloudy amber. Floral hoppy west coast aroma. Mmm Mmm good. The taste was bitter, hoppy, with a nice strong bite. My type of beer. bigrond (865), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 12, 2007 this is an awesome IPA. Full fruity nose, with a dark cooper color. Reminds me of Celebetion. A warm winter feel to it. Dry, bitter and damn good. finishes with lingering hops with a well balanced full bodied flavor. Top notch. If I new the alc. content I might add more points. Dacrza (164), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA Jun 24, 2008 First in a six-beer sampler: an attractive orange-brown body hoists a thick white foam that leaves picture-perfect lacing in the snifter... floral, pine bouquet, bright, vivid and substantial... a bit of complexity on the tongue: hops surround and form a gentle pillow, but the weight is both palpable and palatable.... hops flutter as cirrus smears the glass; by mid-drink, alcohol is still imperceptible... malts are somewhat balanced and ends with a sense of fruity esthers...an above-average American IPA ad one I’d redrink but not to rerate (and to thinK: Fort Collins must be modest in saying they are "new" to the style!)... nearbeer (1334), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 4, 2007 Updated: Apr 28, 200812 oz. Clear orange-amber with a medium-sized, creamy and lasting head. Nice sticky, soapy lace. Aroma is grapefruit, pine and chocolatey molasses. Taste is great resiny-citrus hops with some malty cocoa undertones and aftertaste. Palate is smooth, light medium bodied, sessionable and slightly dry. Excellent, vastly underrated IPA Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Jul 8, 2007 Draft at KClingers. Reddish amber with a bit of a foamy head, but it fizzles. Only a light citric aroma so the full-on grapefruit sting is a bit of a surprise at first. It gets mustier and dirtier as I go. Kinda that wet horse blanket thing going on. BIG meaty body.
