COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We ventured into unfamiliar territory to create an IPA to fit our style. An intense floral nose, firm balanced flavor and long hoppy finish make Rocky Mountain IPA our very own.

12 oz bottle. Pours a bright amber color and clear with a big off-white head that sticks on the glass. Aroma is floral hops, light caramel malts, wildflowers. Medium body with a crisp feel and average carbonation. The flavor is herbal and citrus hops, toasted malts, light bread and light mint. Nice balance and drinkability. Probably my favorite regular FCB beer.

Hazy copper pour with a giant tan pillowy head. Fruity and malty aroma, a bit of pine too. Flavor is a little more interesting with floral notes joining in. Thick, foamy and sticky mouthfeel. Nearly identical to every other regionís local popular IPA, good but not worth another try.

Average malty and hoppy ipa. Quality is bleh and it is not very balanced. Slight citrus flavor. Malty and bitter finish. Pours cloudy orange with a thick white head. Okay beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Twelve ounce bottle from Fort Collins sampler 12 pack purchased at The Party Source. Hazy amber hue, nice firm bittersweet fruity/piney/citrus nose, flavor much like the aroma. A bit more sweetness and a tad less bitterness than I recall from drinking it previously but still a quite good beer. Tasted on July 25, 2014.

Aroma: Floral, grapefruit, orange, malty, sweet. Appearance: Opaque, cloudy orange. Darker than most IPAs. Thick, creamy, egg shell colored, two-finger head that disappeared quickly. Thin, to no lacing. Taste: Bitter hops, floral. Citrus notes disappear on the tongue. Grapefruit lingers. Palate: Flat. More bitter than dry. Overall: I poured this 12 oz. bottle into a glass in which I like to drink beer. The taste does not live up to the promise of its aroma. RateBeer member BigDaddyBlues probably summed it up best, "Solid. Not one I would look for again but if I saw it for the right price, I would buy." #respectbeerbrethren. I would add though, I would love to drink this on tap.

Gifted bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. The aroma is clean with some grapefruit, orange, lightly floral. The taste has a lot of grapefruit, medium bitterness. Not bad but forgettable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a semi-hazy copper color. The head is about a finger high, with an eggshell shade. Retention isnít amazing, and the head only leaves a modicum of lacing behind. S: Just as I feared, the nose is really malty and sweet. Having said that, there are some enjoyable notes to be found - it also brings some decent apricot and pineapple notes. Still, the hops here are way too mild for me. T: The flavor threw me a curveball - this is kind of bitter all around. Actually, no, itís kind of GENERICALLY bitter all around. Despite the bitter presence, it remains rather malty from the start to the finish. There is one aspect I enjoy, though: the finish has a good stone fruit flavor. Otherwise, this one is meh. M: Thereís some good news on the feel: itís fairly dry, allowing it to go down fairly easily. However, it isnít particularly crisp or clean. Much of the dryness seems astringent more than anything, and combined with the sharp carbonation, makes it a bit harsh in the mouth. O: This tastes really old school. Itís somewhat malty, pretty bitter, yet devoid of hop flavors. It isnít an awful beer, just...way behind the times for an IPA. Iím getting a picture in my head of this beer singing "old gray mare, she ainít what she used to be..." while more modern IPAs like MBC Lunch walk past the old man, wondering why heís making a fool of himself.

12 oz bottle served in pint glass (from notes). Modicum of sediment in bottle added mid-taste. Pours with ample 1-finger head that has good duration. Hazy amber/orange color. A - Fine aroma that is markedly fruity and floral, with a lightly toasted malt background. Some but not all, of the fruitiness seems to be from citrus-toned hops. Slightly earthy. T- Substantial malt sweetness is initially evident but quickly gives way to a good hit of bitter hops, although malt flavor remains. Slightly woodsy (neither good nor bad IMO). A piney aspect is less obvious in the aroma than in the flavor. Excellent citrus/pine tinted hoppy finish where the remaining malt sweetness wears off quickly leaving a more bitter, but not unpleasant, lingering aftertaste dominated by hops. The mouthfeel is good, being typical for style. Moderate (i.e., well chosen) carbonation. Rather crisp with a semi-dry finish. O - a very pleasant and easy to recommend IPA.

Bottle. Gold pour. Aroma has some hop bitterness and floral notes. Taste is floral up front, some citrus and bitter aftertaste. Not bad but not top tier. Good all day drinking IPA.
