COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We ventured into unfamiliar territory to create an IPA to fit our style. An intense floral nose, firm balanced flavor and long hoppy finish make Rocky Mountain IPA our very own.

ben4321 (2224) - Hoboken, USA - MAY 26, 2009
Location: 12 oz bottle from Greens Discount Beverage - Atlanta (Buford Hwy), 5/26/09

Aroma: Floral, hoppy nose, a bit buttery
Appearance: Reddish burnt orange color, about 1/2- finger of white head that dissipates quickly, some minor lacing on the glass
Flavor: Early taste is a nice balance between sweet malts and floral hops, middle to late palate is more bitter, with a nice lasting bitter hoppy aftertaste
Palate: Medium body, a bit sticky
Overall Impression: It’s got some typical IPA characteristics, but it’s a little different. I like what they tried to do here, its a good effort, and an interesting take on the IPA.

12 oz bottle: Aroma has got a nice pungent resin hop scent with a lightly fruitiness to the hops. No real malt characteristics. Appearance is a slightly amber golden color with a medium white head that lingers. Taste has got more of the resin hop notes then some malt mixed in with a slightly roasted note. Palate is medium carbonation with a slightly astringent aftertaste. Overall, Not really that enjoyable IPA in my honest opinion. Cheers!

This has a great smell. Tasty hops. This is mostly bittering hop flavor with a little bit of metallic aftertaste to it. The head is quite tasty. Hops and a bit of creaminess. One of the only beers with any real hops that I had on my Tennessee trip.

Fort Collins Rocky Mountain IPA has a medium-to-thick, creamy, beige head and a hazy, copper appearance, with some streaming bubbles and a good amount of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet malt, caramel, brown bread, a hop sting, and even a bit of rotten fruit, which is an aroma note that I find in too many ales. The taste is of medium-roasted barley malt, spicy hops, water, caramel, Roman Meal brand bread, and toast crust. Mouthfeel is medium, and Rocky Moutain IPA finishes semi-dry and pretty refreshing. Drinkability is so-so. Overall, it is an interesting ale. RJT

Pours a clear amber with a finger of frothy white head. Aroma is sweet citrus reminiscent of some cascade hops, also a touch of caramel malts. The sweet caramel flavor is definitely present to taste with some bitter (almost leathery but in a good way) flavor. I also get a hint of almost a strawberry flavor, but just barely. The leathery flavor tends to linger longer than anything else on the palate. Nice IPA with a good balance of flavor.

Draft at rattle with Linh. Pours a clear amber body with lots of white lacing. Aroma is soft hop. Mouthfeel is ok, thin with bitter Pine notes and a slight funk.

Hazy golden/orange beer with a white head. Aromas of floral hops dominate the nose. Tastes like eating a flower garden, in a good way. Floral hops, fresh grass clippings, and some hints of grapefruit. Bittersweet, hop finish. There was a slightly metallic taste in there I did not care for too much, but it was not too bad. A good IPA.

12oz bottle - pours caramel with thin white head. Hoppy nose (citrus). Flavor adds a strange tasting sweet base (caramel or molasses). Bitter taste and a tad sweet. Metallic aftertaste.

Pours amber with thin white head. Very malty aroma and taste. Nutty, bitter, slightly citrus flavor. Somewhat hoppy. Just an ok IPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Orange peel and caramel malt aroma. Light amber with a minimal head. Caramel malt and dandelion green bitter flavor. Medium body. Seems harshly bitter.. could use more malt forward.

Bottle at zekes. Filtered orange, syrupy aroma of days of iPa long gone and gummy bread. Boring toasty bread balanced by alcohol and minty hop. Yawn! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
