3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sebletitje (4011) - Enghien, BELGIUM - APR 22, 2010
tap @ OTH
pours copper, off-white head.
aroma, chocolate malts, light hoppy notes, the aroma was incredible, some burnt sugar/caramel goodness.
flavors, grainy, prickly palate, lots of caramel/chocolate malts, light, barnyard/yeasty mouthfeel with a mild berry/bitter finish. Palate keeps this dry stone/malty caramel finish. This is light, and very tasty. Huge caramel profile, the granite process really brings this one a step up.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 hopscotch (7289) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 30, 2010
Draft… Clear copper ale with a small, tight, white head. Good retention. Toasted, lightly smoky nose; understated overall. Full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. Well-balanced. Medium-roast malt sweetness compliments earthy hop bitterness. Finishes bittersweet.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Teege (375) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 12, 2010
Draft at redlight redlight. Pours a dark amber with a thin off-white head. Lots of caramel and molasses but not as bold as a barley wine. Hints of peat. The smoky peat becomes stronger in the flavor. Semi-sweet malty finish. It’s ok.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BlackForestCO (944) - Aurora, Colorado, USA - NOV 29, 2009
On tap at the brewery. Poured a clear copper-brown color with a thin white head that left some rings of lacing. Aroma of caramel, light brown sugar, some soft earthy hops, and a hint of light smoke. Smooth, lightly sweet entry leads into some soft caramel and a bit of toasted grain that transitions into a lightly dry, earthy hoppiness paired with a soft smokiness that lingers into the finish along with light hints of wood. Moderate carbonation and a smooth, balanced mouth feel. Overall, a simplistic, yet well balanced beer with soft elements of a number of different styles. Nothing particularly stands out, but it doesn’t seem to have any glaring weak spots either.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beaver (874) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 14, 2004
The Stein Lager poured a murky orange-red with a creamy off-white head that had good retention. It had a subtle grassy aroma with hints of caramel. The first initial taste was a pretty strong caramel. It also had a grassy taste with a slightly hoppy, bitter finish. Overall it was a pretty interesting beer, and was very smooth drinking.
