3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours crystal clear dark copper with a sizable head. Aroma is grassy, leafy hops with light caramel. Taste is toffee, caramel. Some light bitter hops, traces of ethanol, and toasy malts. Finishes with a touch of candy sweetness. Medium-light bodied. Very much in the house style- good, but doesn’t separate itself from the rest.

Taylor Caron "What’s It C’Alt" - Winner of the FCBC Alt/Kolsch contest July 2006.
Sample size: Dark brown clear ale. Very mild and rather boring with a slight off flavor that I can’t quite identify.
Apologies to Taylor, but I wasn’t very impressed; it could be perhaps because our brew took 3rd in this contest and I think ours is better (just had one to be sure). Maybe I’m just jealous and look forward to the day when our brew will make it to RateBeer! Congrats!
