Pour is a clear heady gold with little lace. Smell is sweet citrus and old hay. Taste is peppery Orange blossom honey and fresh grass. I do agree donít let the initial bad ratings steer you completely away.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tallahassee, Fl - Liquor Loft - 22 oz bomber. Pours a light golden with a crisp snow white head. Aroma has some saffron-like spiciness and a hint of scuupernong grapes. Flavor has a light spicy profile with some pear-like fruitiness, some white grape notes, a hint of saffron-like spiciness and a bit of sweet cake mix in the back end. A bit too boozy tasting. Mouthfeel is nice and thick and textured. A tad disappointed on this one.

Decent sized frothy white head in my wide mouth goblet. Well it said a belgian IPA so I thouht it appropriate. Soapy and hoppy aroma with some lemon, Trix cereal and some light grainy malts. Color is a crystal clear dark gold. No bottle conditioning for this beer. As the brew warms a bologna smell suddenly materializes. Very strange. No I have not had too much to drink! Light bodied with a bit of very soft and silky malts. Rather weak flavor though. Some rice, lemon grass, grainy malts and wheat. Since the flavor is quite weak, the alcohol shows up prominently and warms the gullet. Finishes corn syrupy and weak. Not a brew I would seek out again.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Not nearly as bad as the ratins suggests. Yes, itís not super hoppy, but itís got a real nice citric edge, kind of like orange soda as another reviewer mentioned. Yeast is prominent as well. Great cross of a Belgian Ale and an IPA. This is real fresh, and I bet only as good for as fresh it is.

12/18/11. 22oz bomber. Surprisingly clear light orange pour with a small off-white head that fades, but lingers in a thick ring fast and laces in small, spotty sheets. The aroma shows butter, hay, funky yeast, lemony citrus, and a bit of alcohol. The flavor is funky, malty, sweet, and yeasty, without a ton of bold hop character. I canít say this is amazing, but I didnít think it was nearly as terrible as it rating suggests.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a rather typical clear yellow with an average white head that does not last long. Fortunately, this is the beerís weakest point. Strong, hoppy aroma is crisp and has a firm fruity note plus a yeasty hint. Flavor is - whoa! Sharp, hoppy, a little fruity, slightly yeasty, with an almost shellack-like overtone. Definitely not for the faint of heart - or tongue! Texture has slightly above-average body but plenty of tingle, leaving a rather distinctive hoppy and sour fruity finish. Distinctive, and if not the best I have had, certainly a worthy brewski.

Pours dark golden color with white head. Aromas of citrus hops with Belgian yeast, bubble gum and dough. Lightly sweet malty flavor with doughy yeast and some citrus and mild bitterness. Light to medium body, somewhat watery, with average carbonation.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium to dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (grapefruit), with notes of metal, cat pee, lemon rind/pith, alcohol.
Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately to heavily bitter.
Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
Meh...pretty clumsy, and almost zero Belgian character. Not even much hop aroma, so itís hardly a DIPA either. Just a generic golden strong ale.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Hides alcohol well. Herbal, bit of light caramel mostly biscuity, Belgian yeast character is actual right where it needs to be, which would actually be perfect if the hops were fresher or had more character.
