COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
I love brewing irreverent beers! Taking a classic style and pushing it way beyond its boundaries is one of the most enjoyable things to do as a brewer. This highly hopped, palate crushing, Imperial IPA is sure to slake your lust for hops. Go hoppy or go home! Adam Glaser, Brewer

22 oz bottle. First glass poured clear, next with too much sediment. Nice orangey color. Aromas of citrus(orange not grapefruit,) carmel sweetness, and a little earthy/grassy note. Bracing bitterness, big malty flavor and alcohol. This is a really wonderful beer, but it’s a little too barley wine-ish, lacking the POW aroma, and less complex than the exemplars of the style. Call it a barley wine and throw a bottle in the cellar.

22oz bottle from Binny’s in Chicago. Strong alcohol dominates both aroma and flavour. Overpowering hop bitter, a hop heads dream.

bottle. Nice arome and classic IIPA taste, but a little unoriginal and a little overbearing.

22oz bottle-offwhite head that laces-hazy amber. A-sweet pinapple/orange/pine, med malt-caramel. T-herbal/orange hop bite, peat/roasty/caramel-med malt. Lots of alcohol. Am Strong Ale on the nose, abrasive I2PA on taste.

22oz bottle poured into a Snifter at 40°. Color is a deep orange amber with mellow carbonation and a small tight, off white head. Aroma is sweet with the scents of caramel and dark fruits. It has a full body with a rich and creamy mouth feel. Flavor of toffee, a touch of apple and a faint roasted taste, then some citrus shows giving a nice even bitterness. In the after taste the citrus stands out with grapefruit and the bitterness increases and hangs a bit. Overall its a great Imperial IPA, its big and bold with very well balanced flavors.

Pour from a 22oz bomber. Deep orange brew with two fingers of creamy head. Aroma of malt, citrus, pine and floral hops; a little ethanol at the start of the swallow. Taste is moderate to full malts at the very start with citrus hops asserting themselves very quickly. Finish is solidly hoppy but the malt backbone remains present throughout. Very nicely balanced. A fine brew.

On tap at hops and pie. I didn’t want to pay $10 for a bomber but I was still curious so I bought a 3oz glass. Thank God I didn’t order anything larger. Dark amber color, good head. Smells sort of hoppy but also malty, uh-oh. The taste was very hoppy but was beat down but a syrupy sweetness and a malty flavor I did not like. I’m sorry but most brewers should not bother brewing IPA’s or DIPA’s unless they can make a true West Coast style IPA. Everything else is just wack. Bomber. Poured medium orange with a short off-white head. The aroma picked up spicy pine and grapefruit plus a lot of peppery alcohol over sweet caramel. The flavor found similar.. pine and peppery alcohol over pale and caramel malts.. finished spicy and rough. Medium-bodied and hot on the palate.. quite bitter too.. not very well rounded.
