2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bomber from Hopey that got opened in Greenville. Absolutely terrible. Will probably never buy another beer from Hopey. Poured it down the drain. Poured super cloudy but a nice amber color. Nose was decent- mostly sweet malt and hint of spice. Taste was just way too sweet. No balance whatsoever. Tons of booze- didnít take more than a couple of sips. Would try it fresh, but even then would guess overly sweet and boozy. Choose Miller High life can over this. That says it all.

22oz bottle 3/20/15 (Courtesy of TerryR)-38į in Shaker-Pours a murky orangish amber with a small off white head. Aroma of rye, hops, nutty, and caramel. Taste of the same with more nut coming in on the back end. This medium to full bodied brew is well balanced and has a lot going on but still tasty.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: Murky brown body with a creamy tan head on top, great retention.
Aroma: The aroma is very earthy, dirt and pine come to mind. It smells as if I rolled around in the grass all day along with a slight nuttiness.
Taste: Caramel sweetness is up front right into a dirt and pine flavor with a moderate bitterness. The finish is a touch dry of nuts and spicy rye.
Palate: Medium bodied with moderate bitterness.
Overall: Maybe itís because I grew up in the woods, but this reminds me of home. This smells like a day in the woods and tastes like it. I highly enjoy this.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, shared with Parksy. Burn orange colour, thick light gold head with wispy retention. Sweet sticky malts, coniferous hop character, light floral notes. The rye character is arely detectable here, but as an IIPA itís fine, just a little on the malty side (which I like in my IPAs, so maybe thats why I flavour this over many of my RB peers).

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Boozy and unimpressed. I know rye IPAs may be the thing right now, but this one does not work for me,

Murky orange pour with fair khaki head. Semi sweet and caramel honey and pine tree and very resinous. A little apricot fruitiness. a slight bit of rye spice on the tail, but almost not noticable at all. Not really my thing, but its okay.
