Bomber from Capone’s. Pours hazy orabgy copper with 2-finger creamy well-retained head. Nose is piney floral hops, caramel malt, some sprucey and spicy notes. Tastes rich, very sprucey, woth some pineapple, tangerine, overall high IBU astringent mouthfeel, and some late florals and fruit, but the sprucey hops take center stage. Maybe the first rye IPA I’ve had where I didn’t really taste any rye.

This is hands down the best beer I have ever consumed aside form Belgians. This will be my "go to" beer from now on. I like the rye taste, it seems to go well with the maltiness and hoppiness. Strong beer, be careful. I think it would be way too intense for the average beer drinker. That might explain some of the negative comments about it.
But to each their own, every beer drinker has different tastes and likes or dislikes. All I know is this is the best beer I have ever tasted, aside from Trappist and Belgian. The alcohol levels almost make this a barley-wine I suppose. Please be careful, I had one eight ounce glass and almost wrecked my car whilst doing 80mph on the Florida Turnpike.

Tap at brewery. Clear copperish amber in hue with a foamy persistant white head. Lovely aroma of boozy sweet caramel and toffee, with a strong nutty presence like pecan and chestnut, with some subtle rye bread dough aromas and leafy citrusy hops. Flavor tastes like a more bitter form of the aroma, with some acidic citrus, boozy cara/toffee, rye bread, and some subtle nuttiness.
