Chewy caramel, rye malty, bready, somewhat spicy, earthy, herbal flavor. Somewhat spicy, but fairly sweet and fruity. In general, I really enjoy Rye IPAs, but this isn’t one of them.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from Capone’s. Pours hazy orabgy copper with 2-finger creamy well-retained head. Nose is piney floral hops, caramel malt, some sprucey and spicy notes. Tastes rich, very sprucey, woth some pineapple, tangerine, overall high IBU astringent mouthfeel, and some late florals and fruit, but the sprucey hops take center stage. Maybe the first rye IPA I’ve had where I didn’t really taste any rye.
