Know Your Brewer: Bending tradition has always been a guiding force for my brewing, and this beer is no exception. A combination of old world grain and new world style offers a nutty flavor with the fresh aroma of hops. Happy Brewing, Prost!

Aroma is lightly toasted, earthy and spicy rye malt, faint biscuit and caramel notes with apricot, pear, and apple esters, light cherry notes and pine, resin, and spruce hops abundant in the nose. Bottle @ home picked up at Wilburs Foco. Pours a hazy, dark orange appearance with a cream colored head. Toasty rye malty, caramel, somewhat spicy, earthy/piney hoppy, a touch fruity aroma. Chewy caramel, rye malty, bready, somewhat spicy, earthy, herbal flavor. Somewhat spicy, but fairly sweet and fruity. In general, I really enjoy Rye IPAs, but this isnít one of them.

Bomber from Caponeís. Pours hazy orabgy copper with 2-finger creamy well-retained head. Nose is piney floral hops, caramel malt, some sprucey and spicy notes. Tastes rich, very sprucey, woth some pineapple, tangerine, overall high IBU astringent mouthfeel, and some late florals and fruit, but the sprucey hops take center stage. Maybe the first rye IPA Iíve had where I didnít really taste any rye.

Pour on tap at the Denver Summer Brew Fest, hazy reddish pour with white head, aroma brought notes of lemon, biscuit, some nice rye spice notes, touch of nice orange and grapefruit notes as well. Taste is pretty rye forward, some nice lemon, spice, and caramel notes, touch of sweet orange and grapefruit, finishing fairly bitter. Pretty nice.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. Burn orange colour, thick light gold head with wispy retention. Sweet sticky malts, coniferous hop character, light floral notes. The rye character is arely detectable here, but as an IIPA itís fine, just a little on the malty side (which I like in my IPAs, so maybe thats why I flavour this over many of my RB peers).
