3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 glennmastrange (1884) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - APR 13, 2013
Bottle. Moderate cookie and straw for the malt, orange for the hops, light barnyard for the yeast, with hints of dried apricot and hard boiled egg. Head is small to average in size, creamy to frothy, off-white with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling clear medium amber. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then the long finish is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a soft carbonation and a lightly astringent and moderately alcoholic finish. The over sweetness isn’t so bad but the lack of hop bite really sinks the overall score of this DIPA.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 bb (5888) - Alamo, California, USA - APR 12, 2013
Bottle. Rich amber beer with a dark cream head. Dusty and caramel aroma with light citrus. Grapefruit and pine flavor with caramel. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with caramel and light summer fruit.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Fritz123 (235) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - APR 7, 2013
Bottle (bomber) pour in South Florida. Snifter. Pours a mild white head with a nice golden amber haze. Lacing quite nice throughout the duration. Aroma is quite strong with pine, grass, citrus, malt and leather. Taste was actually more mild than expected. Certainly the Crystal hops hit you but the bitterness was lacking and the malts seemed to overtake. You get the grass, pine and floral notes and the 9% alcohol is prevalent. Smooth mouth feel with a grain and yeast finish.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 keit72h (3) - Fairport, New York, USA - APR 4, 2013 does not count
Seems more even between malt and hops than is appropriate for the style. The wet crystal hops have a decent flavor, but not enough to give the amount wanted from an IPA. Still, pleasant and drinkable.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 drowland (4988) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - FEB 1, 2013
2/1/13. 22oz bottle from Grassroots. Amber pour with a nice khaki head that fades and laces a little. Sweet, fruity aroma with caramel and a touch of booziness. Similarly sweet and fruity flavor again with caramel and booze. A bit too sweet and not all that hoppy.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tricyclist (444) - Spring Hill, Florida, USA - JAN 31, 2013
Not my favorite... Snifter pour of deep gold with full white head. Nose is sweet, mild hop, sugar and candy... Not great. Flavor is hopped, but not overly bitter. More sweetness than anything. Not my flavor personally.

Flavors of carmel, earthiness, pine, light grassiness and lighgt grapefruit zest with a smooth dry moderatly bitter lingering earthy finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 nearbeer (3048) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 19, 2013
650 ml. Clear copper with a creamy quarter inch of foam. Nose is earthy leaf, toffee and light orange. Taste is sweet: toasted grain and orange toffee. Bitter resin and green herb finally comes in the way aftertaste. Medium body is smooth with the light carbonation that I like, and the 9% is well-disguised, but this one is just too sweet. My experience with "fresh hop" beers continues to be disappointing. Reaffirms my belief in the time-tested Belgian wisdom of using older and drier hops.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DrSilverworm (2702) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 9, 2012
On tap, at Hopnosis 2012. Clear yellow orange color. Good thin off-white head, leaves thick lace. Smooth, lighter carbonation, bigger body. Kind of a caramel malty aroma. Mild spicy, light piney hops. Bitter taste. My friend said she liked it, but personally for me it was kind of disappointing
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 PorterPounder (4610) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 6, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - Proof Bottle Shop - 650 ml bomber (not 22 oz?). Medium-dark copper pour, sticky medium-thick white head with thick lacing. Aroma is nice and fresh and full of spruce goodness and some floral notes. Flavor is full bodied, but not overbearing. Some requisite grapefruit bitterness, a bit of juicy fruit gum. some nectarine sweetness, a touch of maple syrup. Thickish mouthfeel with a tart aftertaste. Pretty decent.
