12 ounce bottle. Pours a reddish brown with an average tan head. Aroma of roast, yeast, and malt. Taste is roasted malt, caramel, spices, smoke, and a bit of hops. OK.

Pours a clear amber with virtually no head. Aroma is sweet and nutty with some caramel malts. Taste is also nutty with smoked character to it and a nice sticky and syrupy aftertaste with a good bit of carbonation. Pretty solid sessionable beer that has some good smoked malt character to it.

Smokey aroma, caramel flavor with light bitterness. Iced Tea appearance with micro thin head. I like the session 4.5% ABV, However, the body of ’Z’ is thin.

Bottle. Caramel malt and very light smoke aroma. Clear amber with a small beige head. Woody smoke, caramel malt flavor with a slight lingering bitterness. Good stuff.

Pours a copper amber with medium off-white head, minimal lacing. Aroma obvious of clean smoke, mild caramel malt, and herbal hops. Flavor matches well and makes for an interesting drink.

Bottle. Smoked caramel malt and sour milk aroma. Clear amber color with small head. Smoky sweet caramel malt flavor with a light herbal hops finish. Nice, drinkable beer.

12 oz bottle from BevMo Salinas. Nose is light smoke, sweetness, toffee, and butterfat. Clear rust color with a small beige head. Flavor is bitterness, smoke, white pepperiness, and caramel. Finishes lightly bitter. Like a smoked scotch ale in a way.

An amber and not a rauchbier IMO. Clear amber color with a sweet malt flavor. Some hop bitterness in finish. Medium head.

Um, what the hell is this? It smells like a brown or scottish ale, a bit nutty, and the taste is a bit sweeter with a kind of oddly cola-esque taste. Sure, why not.
