COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Z Lager is an exotic lager with a slight aromatic smoke flavor, perfect for any occasion. Slight caramel undertones and a bright amber color compliment Z’s prominent smoke flavors.

Over the top. Everything is too much. The color is thick. The taste is straight BBQ sauce and hickory. The finish is salty. May recommend if craving ribs and can't eat food. No subtlety. Finish is sick. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

"a little lighter on the smoke than i was hoping for. a pleasant enough brew that shows a little fruit and carmel in the nose and flavor. medium bodied. subtle.

Nice dark amber color. Small amount of head. Smells of dark smokey malts. Leaves a dry feeling on the tongue.

This was a better beer than I had imagined. Pours a crystal clear amber. Very slight aroma of smoke but mostly caramel and malt. Flavor has more smoke but it isn't overpowering. Not a fan of the style but this is probably the best one I've ever had. Medium bodied. Very nice beer.

GABF week 2012. On tap at the brewery. Pours with a clear orange hue with a lasting off-white head. Aromas are malty, bready, honey, light smoke, toasty, nutty and dried fruit. Flavors are smokey, nutty, maple, molasses. Fuller bodied with medium carbonation.

12oz bottle pours a cloudy amber color with off white head. plenty of carbonation and floaters. minimal lacing so far. strange aroma of caramel and smoke. almost a semi sweet smell. flavor is well...caramelly sweet smoke. almost a medium bodied lager but this is not a good smoked beer.

Bottle. Pours red with a small head. Aroma has malts and caramel, kinda boozy. Nice, smoky and sweet flavor, malty overall. Little chocolatey at the end. Pretty decent. 4.5% alcohol.

Bottle from BevMo: Poured a dark natural golden honey color that appeared as a burnt amber hue while only a thin layer of head graced the top of my beer. The aroma was full bodied with a rich base of caramel malts that really gives off a scent of smokiness. The flavor is pure rauch with a thick taste of smoked malts that makes this beers one the better rauch or amber style beers I’ve come across.

Appearance: very clear bronze to amber color, small tan head Aroma: rich malt, roasted malt, pretty intense aroma Taste: coffee, smoky, strong dark malt for an amber, some hops show themselves on the finish Palate: highly carbonated, not dry at all, minimal aftertaste Overall: pretty strong malty smokiness dominates this beer, pretty good I just prefer more hops than malt ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. The look is clear, off white head, and amber in color. The smell is smoke, plastic, malt, band aid, and ok. The taste is blah, malt, water, caramel, and smoke.
