Pours a light yellow with a half inch head. Nice clear body with plenty of carbonation. Has a yeasty aroma that doesn’t align with the low sweet to high bitter ratio. Frontier sports a light body and texture, with a touch of acidicy that bites the tongue. Finish is bitter and lingers to the point where it feels like morning breath. Not likely going to try again but I’m not a huge fan of the style anyway.

Can. Light golden yellow pour, decent white head. Aroma is mostly corn, a little bit herbal and some light bread and biscuit notes. Corn and grass flavours, nicely balanced sweetness and bitterness. More hops and less corn in the flavour than in the aroma, A little more weight to it than many pilseners.

A nice pilsener. Bottle shared with northropfrye. Sweet but with some bitterness too. Lovely yellow body and white head. Enjoyed it.

Canned sample. Tarnished gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of pilsner malt, toasted corn (kind of like tortilla chips), and a touch of herbal hops. Oddly enough, the hops come through much stronger in the mouth, giving the beer a nice herbal-grassy quality along with a decent amount of bitterness. Heavier on the palate than expected too, coming across more like a Czech pils than a domestic North American one. Another improving beer from Fort Garry... if only there was more aroma hops and a touch more bitterness.

Decent pilsener. Aromas of fresh corn with a nice hoppy bite. A nice Manitoba brewed beer.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2014 Definitely tastes like corn masa actually but quite a bitter medicinal aftertaste. Unique for the style. Tried it again from the can and it taste less like corn, and still has a kind of metallic bitterness. Solid. Upped the rating a little bit.
