341ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a finger of white head that settles to leave very little lacing behind. Aroma is cereal grainy with some grass and light citrus. Taste is grainy malt sweetness with a grassy and mild citrusy hop bitterness. Not even in the same league as some of the American pale ales. This is more like a macro lager and just not good at all.

From a 437ml can. Poured a clear dark golden amber colour with a two-finger white sudsy/foamy head that collapsed fairly quickly. Poor lacing. High carbonation. Malt dominated aroma. Taste - nothing really - was bland (disappointing after a good looking beer and with a good aroma). Medium to light body. Didn’t strike me as a pale ale - was more like a macrobrewery larger.

This is unspectacular in almost every way. crisp, and easy drinking are some of the better things i can say about this beer. As far as Manitoba brewed pale ale’s go, stick with half pints st.james pale ale.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2013 Bottle. Nothing special here. A nice quality pale ale with nothing noteworthy in the flavour.

2011-01-08. Crisp dark yellow body with a small white head. Industrial pale malts, grainy character. Flavour is similar, grainy industrial malt. Average palate. Meh. I was hoping for more. Can from Liquor Depot, Winnipeg

[3545-20110108] 473mL can. Sweet hay straw aroma. Clear, orange body with a quick foamy white head. Sweet candied hay flavour has a lingering sweet aftertaste. Medium body. Boring but fair. (5/3/5/2/9) 2.4

Pint can from Shopper’s Mall Liqour store. Hazy orange pour, not much head. Not much in the way of aroma. Flavor is mildly hoppy, sweet and a bit grainy. Smooth clean finish.

courtesy of Florian Ruch - pours a slightly hazy amber-orange colour with a pale beige foam; long lasting; gentle flowery hoppiness with light notes of apricots; soft mouthfeeel and with a modest malt backbone, some astringency and with some light sourness along bitter tones in the finish - not terrible
