Solid take on Fort Garry's popular Pale Ale beer with a zest of bitter hops added to it. Amber in colour, medium amount of bitter hops to give it a mellow pine and citrus aroma. Moderately bitter tasting, very grassy and hint of lemon zest. Very easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My hopes weren’t high for this. But it was decent. Pours a dark golden with lots of white head. Aromas of grains, tropical fruit. Flavours are sweet and juicy. Tropical fruit mostly. The hops used really elavate an otherwise average beer.

This is unspectacular in almost every way. crisp, and easy drinking are some of the better things i can say about this beer. As far as Manitoba brewed pale ale’s go, stick with half pints st.james pale ale.

Growler sample shared with northropfrye. Faint aroma of musty clean straw. Clear golden colour. Disappating head. Taste of musty straw with a slight hint of a floral element. I like it.

Light pale orange body foamy white head and some lacing. Slight pine, citrus and perfume aroma. Taste is sweet malts and a touch of perfumy hops. Not bad, but could be much hoppier.

Bottle. Nothing special here. A nice quality pale ale with nothing noteworthy in the flavour.

Texture aqueuse. (812-160913)

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2014 Bottle. Slightly cloudy light amber pour with a frothy white head that dissipates quickly. Light grainy malts in the aroma. Flavour is lightly sweet and malty with toasty and caramel notes, quite light bodied, and just a hint of hops at the end. Overall a very light and mostly flavourless pale ale, but it still beats most macro lagers.

Can. Amber gold pour with thin white head. Aroma of caramel malts, some wet, herbal hops, cooked veggies, a bit stale, fruity yeasty notes. Taste is slightly mineral, vegetal hop finish, caramel malt. A bit bland.

341ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a finger of white head that settles to leave very little lacing behind. Aroma is cereal grainy with some grass and light citrus. Taste is grainy malt sweetness with a grassy and mild citrusy hop bitterness. Not even in the same league as some of the American pale ales. This is more like a macro lager and just not good at all.

From a 437ml can. Poured a clear dark golden amber colour with a two-finger white sudsy/foamy head that collapsed fairly quickly. Poor lacing. High carbonation. Malt dominated aroma. Taste - nothing really - was bland (disappointing after a good looking beer and with a good aroma). Medium to light body. Didn’t strike me as a pale ale - was more like a macrobrewery larger.
