Kind of hoppy, not too much, though. Borders on an EPA or bitter rather than an English amber. I liked it.

Light yellow body, nice foamy whtie head and lacing. Looks pretty. Slight sweet biscuit aroma. Palate is creamy and smooth like a cask ale. Taste is slightly sweet and malty with a faint touch of hops. Decent.

Originally I thought this was their pale ale in an updated can - because I saw no marketing for this on social media, which Fort Garry usually does very well. Anyway - This is a good beer for its style. Nice hop character comes through on this with caramel malts supporting it. good stuff.

Can. Deep golden hue with a white head. Caramel malt aroma. Fairly sweet, malty flavour, with lots of caramel, some marshmallow and leather, and a crisp light hop edge. Texture is a bit thick and oily - definitely heavy for the style. A pretty decent English-style amber, but a bit heavy on the caramel for my tastes.
