COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great things come in threes. Grain, Hops and Yeast. Fort George, Gigantic and Lompoc. Beer, beer and beer. The next seasonal can release from Fort George Brewery brings them all together to fulfill every beer drinker’s fantasy – the 3-Way IPA. Organic two-row (we couldn’t get 3-row) malted barley creates a solid, crisp profile and a clean, straw-colored hue. A fine balance of aromatic hops treats your senses to a symphony of fragrances and flavors. Add a hardworking California Common yeast and some of Astoria’s slow sand-filtered water, and the 3-Way IPA becomes the perfect summertime beverage.

Can. Hazy orange body with a fine white head. Cheesy Simcoe musty fruit rind and pith, yeasty and sulfuric and (mildly) eggy. Sweet pound cake malt, sugary and sweet orange marmalade with a light touch of sweet onion / shallot. Sweet, bitter and yeasty. Smooth malt with creamy carbonation.

Can:   Dirty straw, mild to moderate frothy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Citrus based aroma.   A touch candied.   Smooth on the tongue, pale hops, citrusy, faint earth notes.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Lingering earthy mallt finish, a bit dank, citrusy.   Dank finish, a touch earthy, a little bit candied, with a citrus based hop bitterness.   Decent IPA, middle of the road, albeit more complex than most.   Strong citrus notes linger.

16-oz can. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a loose white head. No lace. Gorgeous big bright fresh dimensional grapefruit and pine nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty caramel with grapefruit, pine, and orange on the mid palate. Loooong resiny finish.

A little sulfur on top of caramel, grain, herbal and citrus hop notes. Pours golden amber, thin head. Flavors of grain, caramel, citrus hops, a little herbal and danky, but with some sulfuric yeast presence that ruined it a bit for me. Nice carbonation, smooth and drinkable. Not a bad beer at all.

Golden in color, hazy with a thin head. Super nice IPA flavor and hops finish. Awesome Big hops all through out the beer.

Can... Poured cloudy golden amber with a thin white-ish head. Nose had earthy, resinous spiced hops. Similar hop tones in the flavor. Some bready malts for balance but low on sweetness and a nice bitterness. Citrus, black pepper spice, nice carbonation and a little drying towards the finish with some yeast notes there.

Draught. Cloudy orange pour with a white head. Much lacing. Aroma is fairly full, citrus aroma. Flavour is rather less, but more hop. There is some malt in the finish

16 oz single can from "Lifesource" Salem OR. $2.49 Cloudy orange IPA, with a large thick, tight bubbly off white head. Spicy ,resiny, grassy hop aromas..quite fresh or so it seems. Taste is the same but with dank resiny hop taking the forefront. Slight lemon aspect also. Good thick yet drinkable palate..low carbonation. Nice enough IPA typical of the PNW style

A big, golden, hazy brew with a permanent head. A thick resinous beer, with spicy orange oil notes and some spruce-like herbaceousness. It actually drinks stronger than it is. It’s very tasty, but not something I could drink a lot of. Plus all that residual sugar would wreak havoc on me in the morning.
