Sample at the brewpub, part of Stout Month. The beer pours nearly black with ruby around the edges. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of black cherry and dark malt. Full body with a tart berry character and flavors of roasted malt and black coffee. The finish is black cherries with a lingering malty aftertaste. Overall this beer is a style that I don’t think I have ever seen before, and it is a good beer to boot.

Tap at Baileys Taproom. Pours a deep black with a thin white head. Huge roasted grain, cherry and chocolate in the aroma. Smooth malt body, chocolate, tart cherries and Belgian yeast notes in the taste. Well done brew.
