Imperial coconut cream stout.

"Thank you to Fort George for brewing this 4th Anniversary beer for us at The Beer Junction! With a balanced dose of coconut, macadamia nuts, and vanilla, complemented by a viscous background of black barley and chocolate malts, and lightly bittered with Northwest hops, this is a perfect beer to enjoy on a sunny beach or by the fire." - Morgan Herzog, Owner, The Beer Junction.

Bomber, yellow wax. Was surprised to see so many low ratings on this! Bad bottles? I knew right away from the nose on this beauty this would be a winner. Thick but polite hints of coconut cream, cocoa, vanilla, and roast on the nose. Big, but again polite body. Blasts of mixed chocolate/vanilla and coconut meat throughout. Sweet roast on the finish. Couldn’t pick up on the nuts so much. SUPER creamy smooth. All in all a great beverage!

Bought from Beer Junction. Poured from a bomber into a tulip on 07.04.14. A: Cocoa, coconut, macadamia nut. A: 5 finger head with an easy pour. Black with a lot of red. T: Pickle and vinegar. O: This was bad. It tasted like it was infected on the first sip. Drain pour.

Bottle from The Beer Junction, Seattle
Black color with large compact beige head. Roasted malt aroma, coffee, creamy cappuccino, light cardboard. Good body strength; moderate sweetness; it has a dark caramel backbone, with fake vanilla, some tobacco, correct bitterness, some cardboard.
A bit chaotic.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Nose brings out light coconut and roasted malt. Flavour brings out light coconut flakes, roasty bitterness, almost a tangy note, and finishing dry and coconuty. Dry, coconuts and bitter. On the harsher roasty bitter side. Good beer.

22 oz bomber from where else, Beer Junction. Pours super dark ruddy brown with thick cream colored head that fades quickly and laces well. Aroma is dry dark chocolate malt with sweet vanilla and coconut. Taste is dark roasty malt with big creamy notes, dry chocolate and vanilla on the finish. Nice different take on the imperial stout, and happy for Beer Junction to get this - well deserved!

Bomber, shared at home with my wife. Dark cola pour. Chocolate, roasty, nutty. Man, I could go for a graham cracker slathered with nutella. Moderately sweet, with nice roasty finish. Medium-full body, average carbonation. No real coconut that I could pick up, but that’s par for the course when it comes to coconut additions. This bottle was empty way too soon. Cheers to Morgan and the crew at the Beer Junction. Looking forward to many more years visiting this fantastic space.
