COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An immense, bold, black as night, american stout beauty; Cavatica is no dry Irish anything. Made in the tradition of terminator, except stronger, one sip and you will surely take notice of what youíre drinking. The name honors this brewerís affinity with arachnia. Be forewarned, this beer will stain your clothes.

16 oz can from New Seasons Market in Hillsboro, OR. Looks thick and syrupy. Initial nose is roasty and sweet. Creamy and velvety smooth mouthfeel, with gentle carbonation. Roasted grains give lots of depth and flavor, with little astringency. Aroma has hints of chocolate, leather, and hazelnuts. Very strong and malty, but not too boozy. Great subtle bitter finish that perfectly balances out the sweetness and lasts long into the aftertaste. An all-time favorite!

Pours a beautiful black, with creamy brown head. Smells boozy and of roasted chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel is creamy and taste is good, but a little too boozy.

pitch black pour with a brown head from the can. This thing was awful, super bitter with a thick cloying flavor I couldnít place. Never again on this one.

The can is funny but thatís pretty much where my fondness ends. Itís heavily overcarbonated and despite my best efforts filled the glass with foam. Flavors are leather, cough drops, woody, licorice. Alcohol-heavy almost to the point of medicinal. Canít say Iíll seek it out.
