COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An immense, bold, black as night, american stout beauty; Cavatica is no dry Irish anything. Made in the tradition of terminator, except stronger, one sip and you will surely take notice of what you’re drinking. The name honors this brewer’s affinity with arachnia. Be forewarned, this beer will stain your clothes.

473ml can pours black in color with a finger of light brown head that leaves a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate and roasted grains with a hint of coffee beans. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with a light citrusy and roasted grain bitterness. Medium to heavy body with moderate carbonation providing a nice mouth feel. Nicely done brew is appropriate for the style and recommended.

Nice black body with off-white head, creamy, roasty, hoppy, coffee-ish, and a nice balance of chocolate with a nice dry (but not overly so) finish. Unpretentious and delicious.

Tall Boy Can. Arachnid black in appearance with a half-inch of light brown head. Aroma is a blend of molasses, licorice, dark chocolate and lightly roasted malts. The flavor is heavy on the bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt and espresso notes in addition to some brown sugar, mocha and pine. Mouthfeel is mildly creamy with medium-level carbonation and a slightly charred, lingering bittersweet finish. Well-balanced for the most part with a surprisingly strong hops presence.

500mL can at Saraveza, pours near-black with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and soft chocolate malt. Flavour of chocolate malt upfront, noticeable roasted malt, but this is characterized by the chocolate mostly. Slight astringency from the roasted bitterness. Great stout.

Can. Pours a jet black, dark as night with a creamy light tan microfoam. Smells like dark roast, dark dried fruits, cold coffee, and a malty biscuit-like character. Tastes rich and relatively sweet with a well-balanced bitterness. Quite a bit of body and full in the mouth with decent carbonation. The initial hit of roast and sweetness is followed up by a lingering bitterness brought on from hops and roasted malt. Alcohol has been kept in check without any off flavors or noticeable fusels.

Can. Pours dark brown/black with a medium sized creamy, but diminishing beige head. The aroma has roasted malt, dark chocolate, and some earthy hops. The flavor is dry dark chocolate with some bitterness, roasted malt and ash. Medium bodied at best. OK.
