draft at Hawthorne Hophouse. inky roast-forward nose with requisite black patent soy / char character, but leaning towards robust with an oatmeal and coffee quality, hinting at a weight greater than it is. medium-light body, toasty, inky charred cracker malt with small amount of roast astringency. watery finish but dry malt / milk powder and seared and toasted cereal grains seal it. well-made and delicious.
