3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 dchmela (2271) - Orlando, USA - APR 3, 2011
On tap at the brewery. Pours thick and black. Smooth malt, coffee, dark fruit and toffee all coming through in the taste. Big coffee nose really takes over the aroma, with touches of toffee peaking through. Well done brew.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BARLEYWINEO (106) - Tacoma, USA - APR 28, 2012
A: Poured a jet black color with good carboination leaving a tan cap and some bubbles
S: Smells like a big cup o joe. Nothing fancy but some strong coffee beans
T: Coffee, not overpowering int he taste but def dominant. The coffee tasted like it had been brewed for a day, set out and then infused with the beer. Not to appealing. Not a fresh taste. Coffee and roasted malt made up the rest of the flavor and that was was sordove muddy too.
M: Not much body for a beer of this caliber. Has an underwhelming feel and taste as I swish it sround.
O: This beer is a no go for anyone who loves coffee stouts.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Aubrey (3193) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - APR 28, 2011
On tap at brewery: This is one of my favorite Fort George beers. It’s intensely rich and roasted with big notes of creamed espresso and dark chocolate. Mouthfeel is thick, creamy and chewy. It has tons of toffee sweetness, but it also has a good amount of grassy hop bitterness to balance things out. Alcohol nip was warm but not hot. Very tasty beer.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 troopie (1647) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - MAR 1, 2010
Draught. Pored Black as night with thick beige head. Much lacing. Aroma was roasty and coffee. Rich malty flavour with a lot of coffee notes and some roasty notes. Some nuttiness as well. Lasting pleasant finish and doesn’t taste as strong as some imp. stouts.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Dogbrick (4842) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 14, 2010
Sample at the brewpub, part of Stout Month. This Stout pours black with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Large sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Roasted coffee aroma with some malty notes. Rich body with flavors of caramel malt, roasted coffee and hops. Dry coffee bean finish with a roasty aftertaste. Solid all around.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - DEC 16, 2009
Silky smooth body, dry fresh roast coffee in the finish. Black body with a smooth creamy khaki head. Dark chocolate up front with a mild vanilla note, medium roast and rounded bitterness. Pulled a delicious coffee flavor without adding to the bitterness or adding any astringency.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 IrishBoy (3337) - Bakersfield, California, USA - APR 30, 2009
Draft at Belmont Station. Nose of coffee, caramel, and chocolate. Balck with a big tan head that laces heavily. Flavor of raosted coffee and lightly bitter chocolate.

Tap @ Bailey’s Taproom... Poured black with a light brown head. Charred, chalky and grainy aroma. Sweet chocolate flavors with roasted coffee notes before the malts came into play. Had a wood-like/oak earthiness to it which was really nice. Also a marshmallow-candy sweetness in the finish.
